Today I’m looking back a dozen years to my first year. I was one of fourteen puppies and let me tell you how nice it was to get away to a home with only two other dogs and two cats! The first year or so are kind of a distant memory but it is fun to see photos and remember the good times I had back then.
I was very polite and even brought my own blanket to my new home. It had smells of my birth family which helped make me more relaxed with my new family.
Emma showed me the front window right away. It has always been an important place for everyone that lives here.
My new sisters mentioned that photos would be a big part of my life and I should learn to smile for the camera. Evidently, they didn’t follow their own advice as I have a big grin and they are not paying attention to the camera at all!
Katie was a very kind sister to me. A Kuvasz is supposed to be fierce and protective, but she was so sweet and gentle with me. We played together a lot even though she was eleven years older than me.
One day, it started to get colder outside. Mom turned on the fireplace and I decided to fight cat bro Bert for the best spot. I have to say, he was up for the challenge and could be quite mean!
Another day, white stuff appeared all over our yard. I went out with Emma to check it out. We sniffed the air and enjoyed watching stuff fall from the sky and land on the formerly green yard.
I found out quickly that the white stuff is really a lot of fun. Emma and I enjoyed many games of chase together. Looking at this photo of my goofy face, I feel like I look a lot like Olivia with her crazy racing faces.
Sometimes I tried to get both my sisters to play. It was harder for Katie as she was a senior but she always tried.
One thing I really find crazy is that Mom walked the three of us together. I guess Emma and Katie were well behaved on their leashes unlike the three of us nut jobs pulling and lunging that she walks now but with a max of two at a time!
As I approached my first birthday, Mom labeled me as a troublemaker. I got into everything, destroyed stuff, and enjoyed being generally naughty. Her solution for me was daycare, so off I went a couple half days a week.Well, it didn’t help at all, and after a few months, she stopped taking me.
We went walking around another lake where Mom used to live. Yes, unbelievably, all three of us with no issues at all. It’s nice to have the photos to remember those times.
My mischief/naughtiness continued on until I was about three. This is a photo of the first mowing of the year. Naturally, I was out there getting all nice and green! Hope you enjoyed looking back at some of my first year. I was trouble, but I came out of it and sometimes Mom says she misses me being naughty. I’m thankful Mom put up with me and all my naughty times and she is glad I turned out to be such a nice lady hound.

You were such an adorable puppy, Bailie, and it was sure nice for you to have fun siblings to play with!
It would be odd to be an only dog for any of us but it would be nice to have all the attention from Mom.
we love the green paws!!! that is the same like the green thumb, right?
I tried gardening, got the green paws, and then decided I prefer not to work, LOL.
Those are lovely memories.
Lots of good ones and puppy fun.
Boy were you cute. Look at all the things your
Siblings taught you. You can feel the love
I had a pretty good time, even with that pesty cat!
What a great trip down memory lane Bailie!

I’m a pretty refined lady, the opposite of my first few years.
Bailie what a precious x 100 series of you from the day you arrived in your furever home. You surely had good role models at your new home…I might have giggled at your green paws….you are such a fun girl.
Hugs as your bday week contines. Joy you do such a great job of remembering everyone with your photos!

We love going back and remembering so many things we have forgotten about over the years. There are so many photos, we can’t possibly remember them all, so it is fun.
That was such a fun look back but it’s hard to believe you were a trouble maker! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I was a totally different girl back then.
This is quite a lot of adventuring for a first year. I’m glad you outgrew the mischief stage, too.
It was a lot of fun but I’m happy being a nice lady these days. I am still stubborn, though.
Awww, sweet Bailie…you’re too precious to be considered naughty, even if yuou chewed things up. So you had a ‘active’ teenage years. You’re still a sweetheart in our books. Thanks for letting us relive your 12 years and hope this birthday is extra special.
I was full of mischief and crazy ideas which were all a lot of fun. After a few years of that, I got tired of it and started to behave better. Mom was frustrated with me but now she looks back at my destruction and finds it amusing.
