It’s the final Friday in June and we have some flowers out in nature and Friday fill-ins. Nelson and I saw a lot of flowers on our morning walks this week. We snapped photos of some of them. Despite a lot of colorful flowers, most of what we saw was bright green with the cooler weather and necessary rain, all the green stuff is really growing.
I personally like the purple/lavender flowers we saw all over the place.
We found white flowers. They are nice but white is rather boring. Bright colored flowers stand out more.
These yellow flowers look so happy and cheery, they are the favorite of all the wild flowers we saw on our walks.
Meanwhile back at home, our snowball bushes are once again taking over the front area of our house. They are so big and pretty too.
Unfortunately, we had some storms with wind and super heavy rains which changed the look of our other snowball bush. We are hoping it will find the strength to stand up again soon. It’s been two days and it hasn’t changed much yet.
I’m here doing the Friday Fill-Ins from 15 and Meowing and Four Legged Furballs. Since I run with Mom in the mornings we don’t take many photos making fill-ins a better choice for me.
- My summer bucket list includes ______________ and ____________________.
- _____________ was one of the best summers that I ever had.
- I’m getting ready for _________ by _________.
- _________ immediately makes me _________.
1. My summer bucket list includes tracking practice and staying cool.
2. 2020 was one of the best summers that I ever had.
3. I’m getting ready for my upcoming nose work trials by practicing a lot of different places.
4. Seeing my mom putting on her shoes immediately makes me want to go with her wherever she is going.
Last but not least, our favorite flowers! It’s not the pretty pots on the front step or on the deck, it is the watering can on the deck table. Don’t they look great and cheery?
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

We love all of the flowers but the ones in the watering can are so bright and cheerful and gorgeous! I’m with you on the shoe thing, Olivia. When mom puts her shoes on, I’m always hoping that she’s going for a walk and I’m going too!
My latest thing is plastering myself against the door to the garage so she can’t leave without me. When she makes me move, I put my head down, give a very sad look and walk super slowly away. I always want to go with her.
hopping in the shoes are our signal too… maybe therefore they say the shoe must go on?
That could be a catchy new phrase!
Okay first of all Mom loves your watering can full of such pretty flowers! She oohed and ahhed about them! Next, when Mom puts on her shoes I basically lose my mind! I am headed for the door ready to go wherever she is going! And finally Mom planted her first garden of her life — tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, zinnias and peppers! She is loving having it and watching everything grow. (She knows the rabbits might strike any day though.) And I love when she turns on the hose to water the garden–usually after our walk so I run all around under the water and get all wet!!! wooohoo! have a great Friday. your friend Chester
It sounds like gardening has something positive for both of you 🙂 We study our human’s behavior and recognize pretty much everything they are about to do. They try to study us but they are not as good at understanding what we are about to do. We don’t know why it is so. Hopefully your garden will give lots of veggies this year. Depending on how much she planted, your mom may need to learn how to make her own tomato sauce and can it for the winter. Have a Grand weekend!
All those flowers made us smile today!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Pretty flowers to make for smiles, don’t they?
Love the snowball bush, too, remember them well from growing-up days in the midwest. Funny about the “shoes”, even kitty June reacts when I put ’em on, knows it means I’m soon to leave [she doesn’t get to go tho] … happy weekend to all of you.
We pets study the behavior of our human very well and know a lot of things you probably don’t know we know 😉
You are such a happy soul
We are all pretty happy, but Bailie has always been the one who has grumpy days. We are used to that and just keep on going. She eventually gets rid of her “mood”.
OMDs OMDs what a fun filled post and wonderful fillins
Your flowers are just lovely I like the center piece on the table
Hugs Cecilia
Mom loves the watering can flowers so much. She bought them as an afterthought since she forgot to get something for the table and they are just great. She can see them out the kitchen window and just loves that too.
Gorgeous flower photos from your walk ~ like the doggie photos the best ~ Hugs ^_^

Awww, thank you. Have a fun weekend with Ziggy!
I love your flowers! So very pretty!
Thank you. We love bright and cheery colors.
The watering can flowers is the best photo, except for the ones with you three in them!
LOL, the watering can was a last minute planting idea and it is the best of all!
That’s a bunch of pretty blooms and I enjoyed your fill-in answers!
Thank you. Have a meowtastic weekend!
We think you should start “FILL-IN FRIDAYS” as a thing. You already have WORDLESS WEDNESDAYS. Just an idea…
They are fun to fill out now and then. Sometimes they don’t really fit us. We like some variety anyway.
Nelson and Bailie, thank you for sharing all the beautiful nature photos, the flowers are delightful.
Olivia, I’m glad you’re getting a good bit of practice in over the summer and hope you have some good trials, too.
I’m hoping to get into some more trials and I’m sure I’ll be able to do fairly well.
Beautiful blooms. Such a nice surprise that you joined the fill-ins, great answers. I hope you do well with your tracking. XO
We do join the fill-ins randomly. They don’t always strike us every week but we also like a bit of variety on our Fridays.
What super pretty flowers you found on your walks.
Thank you. We love the bright colors.
