We took a one night road trip to De Pere, Wisconsin, which is right next to Green Bay. Hotels were hard to find when Mom was reserving a room a month or so before our trip. Hilton Home2 hotels are nice so she grabbed a room there. It turned out to be right by Lambeau Field of all places! The trial was only four miles away so it was a good choice.
Our room was nice and the hotel is pet friendly. They gave us this door hanger when we checked in to keep maids from wandering in.
We like the space in the rooms at Home2 hotels. Over the couch they had this picture which we like.
The best thing is the window looking down at the parking lot right from the bed. We did have an incident with the situation, though. Sunday morning, Mom took the luggage to the car and left us in the room. We are left a lot and are always well behaved. As she was loading things into the car she heard dogs barking. Remember now, we had a room on third floor and the windows do not open. She looked up and saw us. Yes, we were going crazy thinking she was leaving without us! She threw everything into the car and raced back to us. Lesson learned…don’t park where your dog can see you from the window!
I had my ELT-P trial at St. Norbert College, it sounds like a very smart place. We had four searches. There is always a lot of waiting for my turn which is really hard for me but I know it is the way trials are.
One search had a long walk to and from it to the parking lot. That was nice as it is a pretty campus. I stopped and we took this photo. The thing way behind me isn’t a dinosaur, it is a horse, fyi.
Mom and I had a lot of fun searching but I missed a couple hides in my first search and my last search was rough. Still, I did perfect on the other two. In my exterior search I actually placed second which is really nice. Check out the short video to see me working. I had five minutes to find one to six hides. Mom called finished after four in three minutes fourteen seconds. The video shows how much fun I am having finding things.
Before hopping in the car to drive home, I had to have a photo with my second place ribbon. De Pere was a pretty decent place for searching and maybe one day we will go back for another trial.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

Great job, Olivia and your ribbon is beautiful!
We had fun in most of our searches and it is always fun to get a placement.
wonderful!! and the best tv channel you can watch while being in bed.. perfect howltel
Grand search!!!
Good one, thank you. It was fun.
Wow! You did so well, Olivia! WTG and Happy Tuesday!
Most of the day I did pretty well, but unfortunately one of the searches really didn’t go well.
I’m glad you had such a good time, sounds fun! You should know your Mom would never, ever leave without you!
Well, she took everything out of the room except for us. We were concerned.
I love the videos.
You never have to worry that Mom would leave you. you are her family.
If you saw your mom take all the stuff out of the room and put it in the car while you were locked in the room, you would see how scary it was. We don’t think she would leave us but we thought maybe she decided she didn’t want to travel with us anymore.
OMG that was a moment that required barking!!! So glad your mom heard you and scurried back to you quickly!! We love the videos. You were all business Olivia!!! your friend Chester.
I am always all business. Mom got proof a few years ago when a chipmunk ran across the start line in front of me and Mom thought our search was over before it started. She gave me my search command and I worked like a dog (I am a dog but you know). Since then, she knows how serious I am about my sniffing work. Mom won’t park the car where we can see it unless our navigator is along and staying in the room with us. Woof!
De Pere is a fun word and obviously a very very fun place to visit. Well for sure no window view for you again
but as the saying goes the squeaky wheel gets oiled first.
Hugs cecilia
Mom thought we would like seeing where she went but that backfired big time!
Way to go Olivia. Love your newest win and ribbon. Your mom sure takes care of all of you.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the pups and my very best to their wonderful mom. ♥
We are a family and we love doing things together. Mom does her best to make things fun and fair.
Congrats Olivia ~proud of you ~ sweet photos of doggies who will never be left behind ~ Hugs ^_^

We will never be left behind, that is for sure!
A fun trip, you got a ribbon, and Mom got a “parking lesson”!
We are always happy if we get at least one ribbon even if it isn’t the one we had really hoped for.
It looks like a great place, and yes, make sure the dogs can’t see you packing.
Mom learned that lesson. It is the first time that situation came up in all our travels.
Looks like you had a blast Olivia!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny (who, thank goodness, are too short to see out of hotel windows!)
We had a lot of fun. Three of the four searches were interesting and we did pretty well. The one was rather a dud but not everything is always fun.
Oh my gosh. that’s too funny about you guys barking when you saw your mom loading up the car. 🐶
Now we can laugh but were were in full panic mode. She took everything but us with her and there we were watching her leave us forever but she came back. She says we need to trust her but it is hard sometimes.
