Look out, here I come for some yard fun despite the heat and humidity. We are not out long and our wild pants are still in the closet but we do go out. I’m a bit more wild in the heat than Olivia is.
This is about all the speed Olivia can muster up. I say she is slowly trotting not running. She isn’t fond of the heat at all. At least when she runs with Mom in the mornings it isn’t as hot and the sun isn’t putting out the heat that early.
Maybe it is my being three years younger that gives me more energy in the heat. Mom won’t let us be out for long anyway, so I have to burn some energy fast.
It is a perfect time to run circles around Olivia since her speed is pretty much gone for a change.
After about ten minutes we are both ready to go inside and get some water and snacks. It is hard to tell with Olivia but her tongue is out a bit although she is enjoying the shade.
My tongue is hanging out as always. Mom says she is amazed it never gets sunburned! That wraps it up for yard fun…not much of it with this weather!

It is not fun and one can’t do much outside either in the heat and humidity.
Olivia, like you, being an “old girl now”, my run is more like a fast walk … if that. Don’t let the young kids teasing get to you.
Oh, I can still outrun my brother, no problem but in this heat, I prefer to take it easy and usually stay inside. I have to run with my mom every morning and that is enough running for me in the summer.
It’s gone from 109 degrees to 65 degrees n 48 hours. Idont think we have seasons anymore.
We live in a temperature roller coaster year round.
We don’t care for the heat, and we don’t spend much time outside on these hot days
It is a shame when it looks so nice out but no one can be out. At least in the winter we can bundle up and be out. There is only so much one can take off in the summer.
We are glad you got out for a little fun playtime, this hot weather needs to go away!

The really hot/humid stuff is on its way back. Every day is one closer to winter. We hold that thought.

It isn’t nice to be out at all. As the weather guys call it soupy weather with all the heat and humidity. Winter is coming!

It stays hot here and more heat is on the way. July is always one of the worst weather months of the year for us.
Olivia you are a lady after my own heart. I definitely do not like heat. In fact last week we had 5 days of horrid heat and even more horrid feels like. I only went out doors to put out fresh hummingbird feeders and to get the mail after the sun went down

Heat isn’t nice but with the high humidity it is really not a nice feeling out there.
I’m glad you get out for a few minutes anyway. It’s hard in the heat, especially with dogs and children who just want to be moving.
Mom loves our breed because we can sleep all day or go out and play all day. We are not the kind that have to be busy all the time.
With the heat, you get extra kudos. Gold stars for you both. 🌟 🌟
We have to be out a bit to get some fun in but it doesn’t last long and we go back in.
