We have some signs of fall coming around here. It is still in the nineties and humid but leaves are falling. Maybe our trees are stressed, but whatever the reason, it is looking like fall.
I love being out in my yard, especially if someone plays with me but I can amuse myself too, if needed.
Have you ever eaten leaves? I really enjoy crunching on them. Mom is always taking them away, and I go find more. It seems to be a never ending battle.
This is the bush/shrub I love to hide in and pop out if a sibling happens to walk by. It is big and bushy, ideal for hiding.
The shots above show what happens when I secretly pop out from the bush and slowly, quietly creep up to Nelson. He doesn’t find my game to be all that fun.
I enjoy laying in the shaded grass, rolling around, scratching my back on the leaves that are out there.
Eating grass is a favorite thing of mine. Mom doesn’t like it but I am always pulling up grass and munching on it. My siblings do it too. Roughage is good for the system I have heard.
Oh dear, somehow I seem to have misplaced one of my ears. I feel way off balance without it.
Being out in the yard is so relaxing. I’m trying to imagine this yard with snow. I’ve never seen snow but my siblings talk about it coming in a couple months and how much fun it will be. I sure hope they are right. For now I am happy it seems like fall might be coming. Everything is a first for me which means I’m never very bored!
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

You are going to love the snow, Henry! It is so much fun and yummy too just like everything else you find in the yard but don’t listen to me on that – I’m always getting yelled at for “no mushrooms, Duke”
Right now I want to put everything in my mouth but Mom is constantly telling me know and taking things away from me. Snow sounds fun and I hope I get to have some in the time called winter.
I have a feeling you are going to love the change of the seeasons but I hope you love the cold because your living is n the artic.
You are just perfect!
I’m a good little pup unless I am tired then I get a bit crazy.
Every season will be a new adventure!
Pretty much every day is a new adventure at this point but the seasons will really be something to figure out.
Absolutely LOVE the photos of Henry sneaking up on his big brother!!! And poor one eared Henry – it probably fell off in the leaves under the variegated dogwood bush
Luckily the lost ear was suddenly found again. I’m a sneaky guy and Nelson sometimes lets me be a bit pesty.
I loved eating leaves when I was a pup too, Henry…In fact, I still like crunching on them every now and then!
xoxo,
Sunny
Yeah, they are nice to munch on but Mom keeps taking them away. I like sticks too but she really won’t let me chew on those.
So many possibilities in one yard for one little new kid! Have fun!
Sloppy kisses,
Delilah
Today I’m helping Mom prune a few trees. I take the branch that falls and run away with it so she can chase me. I think she loves the game.
Henry ~ you are such adorable puppy and going to keep Mom a bit busy I bet as you grow and develop ~ sweet photos ~ Hugs ^_^

I’m getting older and smarter every day which means I am a bigger challenge too but I’m a nice guy at heart and that is what matters.
I sure enjoy seeing you having such a fun time out in your yard sweet Henry!
I love being outside and sometimes we play chase and wrestle too.
