Henry got some photo practice on the way to Gramma’s last weekend. Mom took us for a short walk along Minnehaha Creek to tire out Henry and also work with him on photos when we take walks. I was tired of waiting for the little fellow to stay sitting, so I gave up looking at Mom.
It turned out to be somewhat useful in teaching him but there were at least a million people walking dogs and some dogs were very scary and frightening for Henry and me! Nevertheless, Henry did get a shot of himself right next to the creek. this was right after a big dog lunged and barked as it passed by but Henry did well.
We found a stump about three feet tall. Mom set him on it for a photo. She is very careful to make sure he doesn’t jump. He looked at the situation and decided for himself not to jump and sit would be a better option.
Our favorite photos were when Mom put Henry in this huge tree. It was all hollowed out and there was plenty of space for Henry to sit in. He even stood up to check what was going on behind him. I think he actually liked it up there!
Here is another one if him just sitting in the spot that is hollowed out. He looks good in a tree, I must say!
It was really crowded with all the dogs and people, and there was too much going on to get Henry to sit with me along the creek. Mom decided to take a photo of me by myself. It was a fun little walk and I think Henry is starting to learn more about sitting for photos. Happy Friday!
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

The both of you took great photos, Olivia, and one day soon, Henry will be a natural at this!
He is really starting to figure it out.
aww that is so so so cute… the little pup in the tree… wow…so sweet
It was a fun photo spot for him.
Those are lovely photos of both of you. Henry is learning all about the big world.
It’s no wonder he is so tired at night!
I just want to kiss that face
He loves to cuddle and schmooze.
It looks like Henry did a great job!

He’s doing well catching on.
Henry you are quite the excellent poser. Love you in the hollow tree by Minnehaha Creek
I love saying Minnehaha
Hugs cecilia
It was a great spot for a few photos.
Oh My DOG!!! HIS little white belly in the hollow tree!!! Henry looks very debonaire on the stump. Is he “stumping” for election in DOG TOWN??? I’d vote for him! I also like the picture of him with his paw on his leash – to remind him to sit still??
He is learning all kinds of good things right now and is a really smart boy.
Wonderful photos of both of you and Henry is doing so good already!
The last week or two he is really catching on to things.
Henry is a terrific model and proving that even a young pup can pose nicely. Well done, Henry!
He is getting really good a sit and stay for photos.
