It’s back to fall again at our house. We already had a first and a second fall already. The last snow has mostly melted which means we are left with grass and leaves to play around in. It was beautiful out the other day, and I decided to play with Olivia. I try really hard to ignore her, but now and then I cave in and the chase begins.
We are pretty similar in size, I’m slightly taller, but we run about the same speed. Olivia is used to beating Madison at chase all the time but with me, she doesn’t win as often. I enjoy giving her a run for her money!
Sometimes I don’t chase Olivia, but she doesn’t seem to notice right away and takes off running like a crazy girl at full speed. Playing hard to get is fun.
Both of us love running around the pine trees. There are often squirrels in that area, and on occasion a rabbit. We take off out of the house and race to the back of the yard.
Sometimes I make a quick turn making it hard for Olivia to follow. She is longer than I am and needs more space to turn her long self.
I have no idea what we were doing in the above shot, but we appear to be heading for a head on collision. No worries, no one actually collided and we kept on racing.
We had a lot of fun racing around for about ten minutes and then I had had enough. One last pounce on the little one and game over. For now we are back to fall, but hopefully we will have snow to play in again soon.
My GBGV Life is joining Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
You sure were having a fun fall romp and dang, you’re quick too!
I’m really fast but Olivia can catch me if she really tries.
Those are great photos of you guys having such a fine old time racing around in your yard. We see you still have a little bit of snow.
Happy Nature Friday.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Just a little bit. We need a fresh supply.
Good work girls! That looks like fun. And 10 minutes is about all I can do with my brother too! Enjoy your second fall. Here’s hoping you have more snow soon! your friend Lilly
We think it will be at least a week until our next shipment of snow arrives, but we are ready whenever it can get here.
Oh Ladies you two are quicker than greased lightning and the joy in your faces makes me smile
Hugs Cecilia
Chase and wrestle is the best gave ever!
I know the mom loves to see you play in the yard. It’s a good thing and you’re ever so cute.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your attentive mom. β₯
She says she could watch us race and chase all day every day.
Tag! You’re it! Bailie, I am happy you had fun with Olivia. Being about the same size makes it fun/ Puffin half my size, but she can really pick them up and put them down. When she tags me she uses my ear as a pull toy. OUCH! I love her anyway. Have a happy weekend, XOXO, Sparkle
Olivia is a lot bigger than Madison and she grabs her by the ears too. With me, it’s a pretty even playing field.
What fun running!
It was fun.
You girls look like you’re having so much fun! I wish I had the little bits of snow in my yard like you do!
We wish we had more, but hopefully it will come fairly soon and stay for a few months.
Sometimes you just have to put those little ones in there place. What a fun game Bailie, I love playing zoomies with Sunny, but she also gets a bit over-enthusiastic sometimes!
xoxo,
Rosy
Olivia does that with Madison, but she knows I don’t like that kind of thing, so she has good game manners.
Snow, leaves and squirrels. What more could you want.
Maybe more snacks?
It looked like a lovely day to play outside!
It was a very nice day out.
Second fall, like second breakfast, is actually a pretty good idea.
It’s our third time, now we really want winter to come and stay for a few months.
This back and forth is a bit discombobulating. That was a great game of chase!
It is. And this morning we had a light dusting of snow again. We are ready for winter to come and stay with us.
I thought it was just here that the seasons changed from day to day! It’s good to see that you girls manage to have fun no matter which season it is!
We manage it, but it is rather messy with the melting snow making for a lot of mud.
I had to stop by to tease y’all about the football game today. Hee hee π
Our Vikings are just plain too stupid to hold onto a lead. They were leading in so many games this year and then lose in the final few minutes. Until they can figure out how to hold onto a lead, they deserve to lose. Congrats to your team π
