The Valentines weekend weather for those of us in Minnesnowta will be bitterly cold. We are not a bit worried as it is a good excuse to snuggle and cuddle a lot to stay warm!
As you can see, we are spending four days with high temperatures below zero…kind of chilly, but actually, rather nice for Valentine’s Day. They say it is the longest below zero streak in twenty seven years, that is a long time! The cold is a great excuse to be super close to those you love. Despite the cold, we have some fun things to look forward too.
Olivia is waiting for Valentines to arrive. I don’t think in this weather she will get any, but hope is a good thing to have. She is an eternal optimist and that is a good thing.
Bailie will be bundled up when she is outside, and her tail will be wagging as usual. She has a super waggy tail, and wiggly behind.
What will we do for fun?
- 15 to 20 minute walks at a fast pace to keep the blood flowing and us all warm.
- Eat Bailie’s Valentine cookies she made for us, they make our tummies happy.
- Order a heart shaped pizza…Mom gets the middle, we all share the crust, aka pizza bones.
- Visit a dog friendly store to do some shopping indoors.
- Enjoy the fireplace, ALOT!
- Take lots of naps so we are ready when the weather warms up.

Yikes that’s cold. Snuggling is a good thing to do until this cold spell goes away. It will too. Spring is coming.

We are not thrilled about spring as it is messy and we do love winter, but we know it will come anyway.

Yeah, we live in the Northland…Canada says us the real cold stuff.
It’s definitely snuggle in front of the fire weather! We are above zero but I think the wind chills are below, at least for today and tomorrow. Then on Valentine’s Day it warms up a little and the snow moves in. Winter is definitely in full swing right now!
Winter has really arrived. Sunday we are looking at wind chills of -40 or so.

Sorry I am so late. Mom has had a busy day. First, she went to the eye doctor, and she had her eyes checked for her droopy eyelids. They are going to operate on her eyelids ❣ Then she had to go somewhere to get her second covid injection. I think my mo.my has some Valentine’s toys for bvb us hidden. Our Valentine’s Day is going to be rainy❣ We do need the rain, but it’s going to mess up the day here. Have a fun and Happy Valentine’s Day❤❤❣ XOXO, Sparkle
Your poor mom is having another surgery, so sorry to hear that. Hope her back is still healing and feeling better. If it rains, you can just have a cozy Valentine’s Day together. We will be inside snuggling the day away here too.

Luckily for Olivia, she gets over things really fast, so even if she doesn’t get many Valentines, she will be on to focusing on her next thing.
You guys are wonderful! We just love all your Valentine photos. Mom is sighing as she never did get Cinnamon to sit on the chair, wear any Valentine headbands or scarfs! We are looking forward to a slight increase in temperature and that means that Mom will be taking Clnnamon for longer walks! You are AWESOME! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
