Since I can hear 2016 knocking on the door, I thought it would be fun to look back on 2015, my year in review! I dug up some fun facts about my blog as well as memorable occasions from the year. Let’s get started!
Top 3 Blog Posts
The top three most popular blog posts kind of surprised me actually! Would you have guessed these three to be the most popular?
- Spoil Your Dog – Bailie at the PetSmart Grooming Salon was a surprise for me!
- Holiday Cash Giveaway – this one was not a surprise, everyone likes cash.
- Dog Dental Care With Emmi-Pet – I truly love my Emmi-Pet, but never imagined the post was that popular!
Top 3 YouTube Videos
I’ll be the first to tell you, video is not our big thing, but sometimes they are really a good tool. I wanted to see what the most popular videos I created in 2015 were.
- Emma demonstrating the Emmi-Pet – another total surprise!
- Caught on Camera Part 1 – no real surprise.
- Caught on Camera Part 2 – also pretty much expected this one.
Top 3 Fan Countries
I know I have a lot of people following me on my blog and social media who are not in the USA, but where are they coming from? I was surprised the UK was ahead of Canada, but then again, I am from the UK.

Top Blog Accomplishment
Mom and I both agree on this one when we look back at our blog year in review. Being nominated for a Nose to Nose Award as Best Dog Blog, and then actually being a finalist was amazing! No, My GBGV Life did not win, but out of all the blogs out there, to be a finalist is to be a winner! This accomplishment was only possible because of you, yes you, the ones reading my posts, following me on social media, interacting with me, and always showing me your love. Big GBGV hugs to all of you for loving me and what I do! I hope I bring a smile to your face, offer a laugh now and then, and also give you some good information!
Emma’s 2015 Most Proud Moment
My most proud moment of the year was earning my NW2 (Nose Work 2) title. I had planned to earn my NW1 title, but the NW2 was something that happened out of the blue, and I’m so proud of it. I’m thrilled to have my other three titles, but my NW2 title is the most special. Now I’m working on trying for my NW3, maybe in 2016.
Bailie’s 2015 Most Proud Moment
My crazy little sister Bailie says her most proud moment as she looks back at the year in review was escaping from doggy daycare at BlogPaws in Nashville in 2015. She also managed to get loose in Las Vegas in 2014, and finds it amusing she has started a trend! Mom was not amused when she had to go and pick her up and hear about the great escape, but Bailie loves it! The photo was taken pre-breakout!
Katie’s 2015 Most Proud Moment
Katie doesn’t really have one moment that stands out. She is thankful for her health, for finding the supplement Rejenease which has enabled her to enjoy walking again without a limp, her chiropractor who helps her feel better in general, and her toe grips which help her on the wood floors. One year ago, she didn’t even want to walk around the block she felt so bad. Now she is glad to be happy and enjoys going out for her walks, even if it is a very slow pace. Mom took this photo on a walk back in early fall with just her and Katie.
Mom’s 2015 Most Proud Moment
Mom is proud of so many things we all accomplished this year, but one event stands out, and that is the minute Bailie found the glove, meaning she passed her tracking test and earned her TD title. We had no idea how much this whole thing had stressed Mom out over the year, but once Bailie had her near perfect run and title, a huge weight was lifted and Mom is still so very proud of Bailie! The photo is Mom and Bailie with the tracklayer and two judges.
That is my 2015 year in review! I hope you enjoyed looking back a bit and getting a few statistics. My GBGV Life is looking forward to a fantastic 2016, and we hope you all will be coming along with us!
it was a good year for you :O) and the whole country is proud that a french nose won the NW2 title!!! I hope 2016 brings only good news and a lot of this proud moments to you :o)
France can be proud of what Bailie and I are doing over here for France! The NW3 title is really tough, but Mom and I can do it, maybe not on the first try or two, but we won’t give up!
we are proud Emma… and if you get your ttitle #3 then I will ask our mayor for a firework (one with silencers of course, butt very colorful )
Colorful would be good. I don’t mind the noise, though.
Congratulations on a great year!
Thank you. It was a pretty darn good year!
What a wonderful year you have had…congratulations! I am excited that I got to meet you, Bailie, and your Mom at BlogPaws…that was definitely a highlight for me. We’re looking forward to seeing what you all will get into and accomplish in 2016!
It’s going to take a lot of work to top 2015, but we are going to try our best. We are so glad we got to meet you at BlogPaws too!
I think everyday is a proud moment for you and your family and I love ready about it.
I’m quite a proud dog, that is true. We love what we do, and that makes a big difference.
So many proud moments! What a great year you had with all your girls and a promising 2016 to come.
2015 is going to be tough to match or top, but we will do our best!
An excellent year was had by all at your place, Emma! Here’s to a successful 2016!
We are always looking ahead and looking for new and better ideas and plans! Thanks for being our friend!
Collectively you all had a pawsome year! So many accomplishments. You GO, girls! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
2015 was an amazing year!
You did have a great year! I hope 2016 will be a fantastic year! Happy New Year!
We are hoping 2016 will be at least as good as 2015!
Sounds like a great success!
We are really happy with how it all worked out.
A very good year
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
It really was.
Looks like a great year all around! I love that Katie is doing so much better! Sherman moves at a slow pace too these days but I always say at least he’s still moving! Here’s to another great year with many more accomplishments!
Katie has her moments, but overall, for her age and size we are thrilled she is doing as well as she is.
That was a terrific look back and y’all really had an amazing year!
It was an amazing year with lots of positive surprises.
Amazing year, Joy and family! You girls are such good ambassadors for our breed! But what happened to Bert? Didn’t he have a best moment?
Chablis
p.s. I always like to keep my eyes open for cats, you know, and if Bert isn’t accounted for, I’m watching the boats to see if you sent him downriver. We are building arks here in St Louis.
It was a great year. Bert, well, he is hard to nail down to one moment. I would be happy to put him in a boat and send him on down.
What a fun idea to look back at 2015. You all had a wonderful year with many accomplishments. I am sure 2016 will be even better!
We don’t like looking at stats too much, so the year end it is a good time to buckle down and have a look.
Those are all great things to be proud of. Let’s hope 2016 is just as good, if not better.
It’s going to be hard to keep up with such a good year, but we will try.
I have no idea how Caught on Camera wasn’t the #1 video. I figured the number of times I viewed it alone should have skyrocketed it to the top. (Side note: Not sure if it’s just me, but none of the video links worked)
You are right. I think we forgot to finish putting in the links. Thanks. We were shocked the toothbrush video was number one, and it was by far number one.
We have definitely enjoyed each of those moments with you! I hope that Bailie doesn’t show Pierre and Bentley how to escape daycare in Phoenix this year!!!
I can’t make any guarantees! She has only been to two BlogPaws and has escaped both times. She has also escaped from her kennel at nose work class. The girl is trouble! It’s hard to keep a good PR dog down I guess!
OMD this WAS an EXCEPTIONAL Year fur You ALL…. even the Escape… BRAVO on a year Well LIVED.
Bailie really does live life to the fullest extent at the cost of Mom’s nerves sometimes.
What a wonderful year you have had! Your Blogpaws nomination was well deserved and we were so glad to meet you all in Nashville! Plus we were there to witness Bailie’s great escape!
We are constantly impressed with you and your sisters sniffing skills – good luck on the NW3 title this year! It is also great to hear how much better Katie is feeling! I think we are going to have to try those toegrips for Harley. He is having more trouble on your hardwood floors as well.
It was a big year which will be hard to top, but we will try. Will you be in Phoenix when Bailie attempts her third daycare escape? Give the toe grips a try. Katie doesn’t like it when Mom puts them on, but after a minute she forgets all about them and goes on her way.
What a wonderful group of accomplishments! We are so glad to have gotten to know you better this year!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
It was a really good year for us in so many respects. We hope 2016 will be as good or better but that will be tough.
It sounds like you had an amazing year, Emma! Great job! I’m excited to see what you end up doing next year! 😀
I’m wondering what I will do next year myself. Something always seems to pop up, so we shall see.
A great year for you all…especially Katie’s health…hope 2016 is a good one too
We have our paws crossed for a great 2016, but we know that means a lot of hard work too.
That is a whole lot of stuff to be proud of! What a great year!
It was a big year. We didn’t realize how much really happened until we started looking back!
you did indeed have a wonderful year and we are sure next year will be even better 🙂
We hope so, but 2015 will be hard to top!
I liked this Emma, what a year , all the best for the new year
Thank you. It was fun looking back over the whole year to see what all we did, how people liked it and what we really enjoyed the most. Thank you for being such a loyal fan of mine!
Sounds like you, your mom and your sisters had a great year! I love the pic of you, your mom and Bailie getting your award! What is Bert’s greatest moment of 2015?
Bert’s greatest accomplishment in life was when he conned Mom into adopting him. He knew she was the type who would never take him back no matter how tough it would be to live with him. He has had so many good “stealing” moments, I don’t think he could choose just one! I know he is proud he managed to get his own blog post and giveaway!
You all should be very proud. What a wonderful year!
It has been a really great year. Now to try and keep up in 2016!
Emma Mom was really thrilled that you got your Title and Baile Got her TD, title. You both did a great job and your Mom work hard to help you accomplish those. Mom was getting me (Mica) surgery and helping me heal to get back to my words walks, so she didn’t tell you how proud she was of you both. Over all our year ended pretty well. Hope 2016 starts out with SUN and snow and fun.
October was quite the month of us and our dog sports. We are all still very proud of what we accomplished. Thank you for thinking of us. Hope your health is good now, Mica. I wish you and your family a wonderful 2016.
What a great year! I didn’t realize Bailie had broken out at BlogPaws 2014 too. Why does that not surprise me? You’ve all accomplished so much in a year; here’s wishing you a wonderful 2016!
–Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats
Bailie broke out the first day not long after being dropped off. They take your cell number when you leave a dog there for a reason. Mom was called and we had to go pick her up! Oh well. We will see how it goes in Phoenix!
Oh Emma, Shadow, Ducky and I will definitely be here with you, Katie, Bailie, and your Mom in 2016! We always enjoy your stories! Not surprised that the “Caught In The Act” videos made the top 3 most popular ones! I thoroughly enjoyed watching Bailie because she reminds me so much of Ducky with her devil-may-care attitude. I hope Santa brought you a new favorite bed!!
We are all still “suffering” on old repaired beds. Mom says she will go broke if she has to keep buying new ones, so until the little devil matures a bit, no nice new beds, but the old ones aren’t too bad. Bailie’s is way too small for her, but since the problem is her fault, we don’t feel real bad about that.
It’s really nice to look back, isn’t it? You had a stellar year Emma and a lot to be proud and thankful for. Here’s hoping 2016 is even better!
This year was pretty amazing and will be tough to match or exceed, but we just keep putting one paw in front of the other and hope for the best.
You guys sure do a lot of great stuff!!!!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
This year was super busy. Mom was pretty much out of time all the time. We are taking it easy these last two weeks or so of the year to get ready for busy times again.
What a rewarding year you’ve had Emma. I’ve enjoyed sharing your 2015 milestones with you, Bailey, Katie and Mom and I look forward to 2016. Happy New Year
2015 really has been an amazing year! It will be hard to keep it up in 2016, but we are going to try.
loved being a part of many, many of your posts (reading them)………..we enjoy your blog immensely! Barks and licks and love from all of us! DakotasDen
We love you guys too and are so happy to have you as friends!
Congratulations on an awesome year! Good job with the NW2 title we’re hoping to get back into Nosework in 2016.
Thank you. It was quite amazing! Hope you get back into nose work. It is a great sport, and we are hoping for more titles in 2016!
You had a great year indeed! Congratulations again on yours & Bailie’s titles ~ and it’s wonderful to hear that Katie’s health has improved! We’re looking forward to your posts in 2016!
The first 6 months of 2016, she made some important improvements to get her back on track. Since they she has declined slowly but it is to be expected and it is nothing drastic.
