Pssst…yes it’s me, Emma, up on this big stage to make a little announcement!
I was out doing some nose work practice and thought this Eagan band shell would be the perfect place to tell all my friends about my recent decision. I have a lot of folks who follow my blog, so I needed to find a place where you could all fit into the audience to listen to what I have to say. This place has big speakers too, so my howls will be amplified.
My blog is so much fun and I love posting, doing photos, telling stories, reviewing products, but I also have a lot of other activities. As you know, I post six days a week. It has come to my attention after analyzing my data, that Sundays really are not big traffic days which is the reason for my announcement. We are now headed into a very busy summer with trials and other activities on the weekends, so I have made the executive dog decision to no longer post on Sundays. I will continue to post Monday – Friday, but I need my weekends for my sports, and other family activities. If there is an important holiday or event I will post on a Sunday.
Now, if you are worried about missing me too much, worry no more! I am always on my social media accounts. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably see the most of me. I also do a lot on Twitter, and I am on Facebook, and Pinterest. I look forward to having more time to spend with my family, and to having more time for my posts on the other days of the week.
I think this is a good decision, Emma. You are the hardest working dog I know and deserve a break once in a while!! Enjoy the extra time with your family!
It was kind of a tough one to make, but weekends just aren’t a big deal on my blog and we have so many other things we would like to do, so we will focus more on our other five posts.
That is totally ok, Emma… and if I miss you too much I can put a picture of you in my sidebar LOL

There is just so much going on, and then on the side we have Katie who isn’t doing all that well and takes a lot of time too. I don’t think many will miss me in their inbox on Sundays.
Your family is so busy so that’s probably a wise thing to do. We always know where to find you!
It is very busy with three dogs, two cats, something called a real job, and the blog. We just wanted everyone to know why we weren’t appearing on Sundays anymore.
We completely understand, and think it is a wise decision to focus on your other activities on the weekend (even though we’ll miss you on Sundays!). I did 6 days for a while, but cut back once we put our house on the market. Having the one extra day to do some other things really does make a difference, and I don’t think it negatively affected my numbers.
Sundays are a pretty low day for stats, and it is nice to not have to worry about it when we have other things going on Sundays. We can focus on social media, just having fun or competitions.
I think that is a good decision! Have the weekends for you! We understand! Have a great weekend!
We simply need a bit more time. Even though Sundays aren’t usually a big post, it is just one more thing that has to be done. Thanks for your support.

I know. I never have enough time to focus on wabbits and things, so I think this is a good move.
Of course, we will miss you, but it sounds like you are making a wise decision. I’m in awe that you are able to post six days a week. I try for three days a week and that’s still tough.
We did actually to seven for a while, but Saturdays were such dead days, we went down to six. I think five will be a good number.

In truth, I always wondered how you did it all. I assumed you had an army of puppy minions doing lots of work.
It’s very time consuming, but I think a couple days off a week from the blog will be a big help.

I think that’s a very good decision, 6 days a week is a LOT of posting. We all know how time consuming it is and how it can start to take over, not leaving time for other impawtant things. I only post 3 days a week. I love the clever way you chose to make your announcement, it’s so perfect! These photos are terrific. Enjoy your additional day for nose work.

Thank you. We remember the days of 1-3 posts a week and not being able to imagine posting every day. We tried 7 days but that was short lived as Saturdays were dead, but Sundays aren’t much better and we would rather be out enjoying life a bit more 🙂
We understand 100%. We went to a Monday thru Friday schedule at the first of the year. It seemed awkward at first but works out best for us. Enjoy your weekends ♥
We just don’t have enough time for everything and we will be busy every weekend the next couple months, so I think it is the best solution.

I think that’s a great idea and you should be spending your weekends with your family! We went from posting 7 days a week down to 6 and now I am thinking about just doing 5 days a week, too! We are very busy with training classes and it’s just been kind of hard keeping up with all the blogging! I totally understand!
It is coming down to sports or blog, and we choose sports, so down to five days we go.
I understand Emma, I’ve been very busy lately too and have been not posting as much. Having the blog hops disappear I sometimes don’t know what to write or have a guideline so if I don’t know what to post I don’t plus very busy the past two weeks. Enjoy your weekends.
I stopped using most blog hops a while back, but our problem is the time. I think just posting weekdays will be helpful.
I think that was a good decision. I saw all the events you and Bailey are going to do and with all your practices you need to have time to fit it all in. We love your blog but totally understand your decision:)
Mom realized she needs to spend more time with us and less on the computer, so it is the right decision and we will still be on social media on the weekends, which doesn’t take up as much time.
We post M-F for the same reason. Weekends are always so busy for us doing stuff with the dogs. Provided we have 3G or LTE we can post on social media on weekends, but even that is hard. Blogging has changed quite a bit with social media being all the rage. We are thinking about cutting our posting back to 4 days a week when we are really busy.
We are going to go with the five as we have a lot to post, but we need more time for us and hope weekends off will help.

We would love to post every day and would if Mom didn’t have that thing called a real job that monopolizes her time. We’ll try five and see how it goes.
We agree with MK – it has been a HUGE help to our mom not to post on weekends. It just takes up so much time!
I think it will help us out immensely.
That’s still a lot of days!! We rarely post on Saturday or Sunday and we only commit (to ourselves) to post Monday, Wed and Fri (and we didn’t even bother posting on Cody’s today because, well…we were just not in the mood!!) I am a firm believer in “less is more”………….I think those who blog 7 days is total overkill. I more often than not blog 4 to 5 days but I rarely will do 6 or 7! Smart move! DakotasDen

No real relaxing, just more time for our sports and things.
Keeping a daily schedule is hard. When I gave myself permission to not post daily it was quite a relief. Of course, I don’t even post as frequently as five days a week, so sometimes I find myself trying to blow it off, especially because I have such a small following. Sometimes I have to FORCE myself to post.
I think having fun is important too, so glad to see you prioritizing it.
We need plenty of fun time, so I think cutting back on a day will be a good idea.
