Bert the cat finally lands a job! Can you even believe it? For eight years he has been a pain in the furs around here, the only boy, and has never brought home a dime. Last week that finally changed! His first paycheck will be arriving soon!
Out of the blue, Mom got an email request for cat bro Bert to do a modeling job. Of course, she said yes, and they were off to a beautiful model home for a professional product photo shoot.
Bert was a bit embarrassed as he had to travel in Sophie’s pink cat carrier with a pink blanket because Madison is currently using Bert’s carrier. He brought along some treats, and his favorite fishing pole toy in case he needed encouragement.
The assignment he had was to walk through the small door in a pet gate, preferably showing his side profile with his head up. He did pretty well, but still had to do it like thirty times, and one person had to keep fetching him and returning him to the start.
Luckily, Bert is more of a dog than a cat, meaning he had no fear of people or a new place. He was not the least bit afraid to get right to work.
Bert did such a super job, he was actually done a bit early! Mom had brought Madison along because she didn’t know how long she would be gone. As always, everyone was fawning over the cute puppy.
Madison was not chosen by the product to do any model work, but the crew decided to take some shots of her anyway because she is so adorable. They took the first set with her behind the gate. Everyone was impressed that at just thirteen weeks she would do a sit and stay really well!
Next they took a set of her in front of the gate. We don’t know if the company will use any of the shots or not, but it was a good learning experience for Madison. She learned to work with strangers, improved her stay, and was exposed to the cameras and all the flashing and lighting that go along with being a model. Who knows, maybe she will get her own job one of these days!
One more piece of news. Bailie and Madison went to a talent shoot on Saturday. They are both hoping to get some work soon. I heard they had a lot of fun and did some great photos.
