I’m considering this nicely placed couch to be a sign of a friendly neighborhood. The folks even took care to cover the fabric with a nice blanket. What a great spot for a break on my morning walk! Anyone else live in such a thoughtful, and friendly neighborhood?

We know that from Germany. They were not real friendly folks.
Believe it or not New York City residence do this all the time. Furniture is left on the street with signs saying”free to take.” If no one takes it in a day the garbage people
take it away.
We believe that. A cheap and easy way to get rid of your unwanted stuff.

It’s very polite I think.
We have one day each month for “big trash” when we see couches and chairs out by the street for pick up. It would be nice to pause for a quick rest and a drink of water. ☺

There is a chair on another street, but it is missing the seat, so not really sure if I can still call it a chair.
