Bailie and I have been busy putting our goals for the new year down in writing. Every year we decide on our goals. At our house, we don’t make any resolutions. Resolutions are what people make and never actually do. Our goals are real goals that we work on during the entire year.
I take things pretty seriously, so sitting down to write my list is a real thinking project. In 2018, I actually exceeded many of my goals, so I’m putting down some more lofty goals for 2019.
The goals I have should be attainable, but I can always make adjustments if things are not working out as planned. Since I have a whole year to reach my goals, I don’t see any trouble.
Bailie is also supposed to put down her goals, but we all know Bailie. She is a free spirit and doesn’t want to lock herself into anything.
It comes as no surprise that she didn’t make a list, but I do think she was creative in what she did write. There is a lot of truth and wisdom in her thinking. Bailie is very smart, but she only uses her brains when she is in the mood. Mom and I are hoping she feels like writing a lot of good stories!
Bailie and I wish everyone a Happy New Year’s Eve. We will be having a quiet evening I think, but you go ahead and live it up big. Remember to never drink and drive, and stay away from drugs altogether!
Someone who needs and loves you is waiting for you at home! They need you to return safely!
Those are great goals and I hope you do get to visit Santa! Happy New Year!
It would be a fun place to visit if we can find a reason to go in that direction.
I love your list for 2019… we will try to make it better… whatever it is (and that’s a lot) LOL
I bet you boys have a good list of goals, right?
Madison! Awesome goals. Mom likes to do something similar. She calls them areas of focus. She likes yours and loves Bailies attitude! Happy NY Eve!! your friend Lilly
I’m all business, and Bailie is all about the moment. We make a good pair. Happy New Year’s Eve to you and your mom.
Thise are terrific goals and we will follow you along the way. Happy New Yearβs Eve!
I think I will reach my goals, with Bailie we never know what she might decide to do.
Happy New year to you guys!!! I bet you meet all those goals too.
Happy New Year’s Eve to you and the pups!
Excellent advice and fabulous goals. Happy New Year.
I hope I can reach all my goals. Bailie, well, we will see what she does.
I am with your Bailie on your resolution..good one! Happy New Year!
Mom and I are more business like with goals, but Bailie helps us enjoy things more with her no worry attitude.
My goal is to get my mom back into the fitness center and into the warm water pool for the arthritis moves classes for her back! She needs it so much!! We are also going to spend a quit evening at home. XOXO, Sparkle
I hope you can get her back to the pool to help her with the back issues. Back trouble is no fun at all. We will be enjoying a quiet New Year’s Eve too, and go to bed early.
Happy, healthy New Year to youuu twooo, and all of your family. We agree your goal of eating more…. but whenever we give our Mom the “I’m starving” look, she says something about watching our waists.
Bailie is nice and fit, but I’m super skinny, so I do need to eat more. Maybe you can sneak some treats?
Madison you set some wonderful goals! I’m much more like Bailie when it comes to setting goals. I hope everyone takes your advice about not drinking and driving and staying away from drugs. Happy New Year!
We want everyone to be safe. I’m like my mom with goals. Bailie is our free spirit!
Awww, so adorable and all ready for the new year.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
I love your goals for the upcoming year. It’s a black slate and we get to color it any way we wish.
Have a woof woof day and a very happy and healthy New Year. My best to your peeps. β₯
Thank you. I have a lot of aspirations, but I think I can reach them all even though I am rather short.
That last is wonderful advice, Madison. We will of course be staying home. It’s supposed to be nasty weather around here, so we hope people stay safe when they are out there.
We have no doubt you will achieve all your goals and more. While we sometimes like to set goals, we are more with Bailie this year, and are going to take things as they come. We just haven’t figured out yet what directions we want to go in.
Happy New Year to all of you!!
My mom and I don’t like uncertainty, so we have lists of goals, but Bailie infuses her free spirit forcing us to relax a bit because she never does what is planned or expected.
Very good goals! We are working on ours today. Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2019!
Good luck listing your goals too. Happy New Year’s Eve!
We are sure that all of your goals are attainable to 2019. Have a safe and wonderful New Year’s Eve.
Mom says she is confident I will reach my goals. Bailie, well, hopefully she will accomplish something, but if not, she is a sweetheart that we all love and that is fine too.
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Oh my!! Your list has me exhausted!!! Happy Happy New Year!!!!!!!!
Mom says I’m a little “go getter” type. She and I both love big goals and accomplishing them. Bailie keeps us grounded with her “whatever” attitude.
Yep, we think goals are the way to go! Just a reminder, we’ll be in Bryce Canyon in the beginning of May….you know, if you want to cross that off your travel list ;o).
We are staying with our peeps at home tonight…and we’ll probably be asleep before 10pm BOL!
xoxo,
Arty, Jakey & Rosy
We would love to go and meet up with you all, but it is the busy season for real estate, so Mom can’t get away. The most we can hope for is a 2 day nose work trip to somewhere pretty close.
Excellent goals and a great way to look at life β a blessed and beautiful Happy New Year to you all!
Happy New Year to you too!
We had a quiet evening together and hope 2019 brings hope, love, healing and many blessings.
We had a quiet night too. Hoping for a fantastic 2019! Happy New Year to you all!
Happy New Year!!! I have no doubt you will meet all your goals and then some, Madison! And sweet Bailie will see to it that you enjoy yourself every step of the way! β€οΈ
We had a quiet evening here – we watched “Forrest Gump” and a few episodes of M*A*S*H and just enjoyed each other’s company.
We furry ones napped, Mom watched baking shows, and we all went to bed at 10. Happy 2019!
I wish I could be care-free like Ballie. I get too focused in trying to do things that I’m not having so much fun. I really do need fun in my life.
Bailie has a bit too much fun, but there are worse things than that in life.
wow, that is a lot to do this year. i love your blog the way it is now. hope it wont be too many changes. after all, you dont want to mess with what Emma did and she was wonderful, the best, with her blogging. yes, it would be good for you girls to learn to cook since Emma was a Master Chef. she would be so proud of you girls if you carried on her work. i dont make resolutions either, very few are ever really kept. we just pray that we will have a happy, healthy year for all. you need to be more of a foodie like my oldest, Tressa, who eats anything. i go to the kitchen and she is right there. i know she is sick if she does not eat. i hope you girls had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and did not party too much.
Happy New Year to you! We don’t want to change the blog, just give it a fresh look, maybe adjust the categories, things like that. Emma will always be there, but it has been several years since we had a new theme, and even Emma was thinking to make a change for some time before she left us. We are taking our time, but it will still be the same basic blog with a refreshed look. First we have to find someone to help us since the person we used before no longer does that kind of thing.
Those are awesome goals I hope you gals reach them all.
I think I have a good shot at mine. Bailie doesn’t really have a firm plan.
Awww…the end message was the best, Mom almost started crying… but You have a pawsome list and Bailey just likes to keep us in suspense with her next surprise.
Chablis& Elbe
Bailie is the sweetest being, but she also only does what she wants to do. We just accept that.
