Today I’m bragging about my first year performance titles. I started out being simply Ethos Loving The Northland and will end my first year as Ethos Loving The Northland CGC SEN SIN SBN RATO ORT. I earned seven titles in the last six months. You only see six as AKC replaces the last title with the current one. Most things I do involve my nose. I guess it is because I am a scent hound.
The first title I earned was my RATN Title in Barn Hunt as six months old. I must say that was pretty exciting, and Mom was super proud of me. It was not easy as I was young and it took several tries to get three Q’s, but I did it.
My next title was only a couple weeks later in Scent Work in Iowa. There I really cleaned up on the ribbons, even earning a high in trial as just six months old. I earned my SEN (Scent Work Exterior Novice) Title and I earned two Q’s in interior and buried novice. Madison earned some ribbons too, but I was much better I think!
Only a couple weeks later we traveled to Sioux Falls for another Scent Work Trial. There I earned my SIN (Scent Work Interior Novice) and SBN (Scent Work Buried Novice) Titles.
In November I also finished up my Beginner Obedience class, and I passed my CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Test, which is also a title. We are not big obedience fans at our house, so this is a good one to get out of the way so we can forget all the behaving stuff.
Later in November I moved on to NACSW Nose Work odor recognition test. I tried to pass all three on the first try, but I missed clove. A few weeks later I tried again and passed. Now I’m ready for all levels of nose work. All I need is a trial.
Winter is pretty quiet for our sports, but they start up again in late February. I earned the last of my first year performance titles this month in Barn Hunt. I earned my RATO, Open, Title. Not only did I earn the title, but I placed high in trial! What a great way to end my first year of dog sports.
With the travel we did, I also expanded my list of states traveled to six, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Sadly, with the virus thing going on, all our sports event for the next two months have been cancelled. We had almost every weekend booked, so it is a real bummer. Hopefully this time will pass and we can get back to trialing soon.
I’m happy, so I’m joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Happy last day of puppyhood, Olivia. What an amazing year you have had. XOXO, Sparkle
Thank you, Sparkle. I’m ready to be a big girl now, I think.
You are a rock star! Congrats on such a great first year.
Thank you, it was a lot of fun.
What a special puppy you are!
Mom tells me I’m her special puppy.
Excellent! Brag away! You earned it! Have a great day!
Mom is really proud of me, for me it is normal. I do love my sports!
that is amazing! you have more titles than we two together… and all that wonderful titles within one year!!! YAY!
They all happened in like 5 months. Hopefully I can compete again soon, that bad virus is ruining our plans.
You’ve sure done amazing so far and we know you are anxious to get at it again!
We miss going to classes and going to trials but one day we will get to do it all again.
Miss Olivia has had a great year. I see many good things in her future. This virus has shut down so much, but it’s better to be safe.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to your siblings and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
Yes, staying safe is the top priority, but we sure miss trialing.
You are a star Olivia, looks like you are on your way to a brilliant career!
I sure hope so!
You are such a smart girl for one so young, Olivia!
I worked hard, but Mom always made my training fun, so I love my sports.
What a great year! My hope is you get back in the action soon, that we all do.
Yes, we hope the whole world gets back to normal again, sooner rather than later.
You area a super sniffer and very well behaved for such a young girl!
I can be badly behaved, but I always do well when at my sports.
Holy cow, all those letters and not even a year old! How long will your name be over the coming years!? π
We hope this nasty virus settles down son so you can all get back to what you enjoy. Hang in there.
We hope for everyone that the virus starts to go away very soon. It is really causing trouble.
Quite the accomplishments, little furriend. The whole virus thingy is a bummer but it pays to be extra safe and to get this ole thing squashed fast so we can get back to our normal routines again. DH is now working from home. The city has order a safe at home protocol for all non-essential employees for the next 14-days. I hope after that things go back to being good again, the threat of this virus being just a bad memory. Be safe and stay healthy!
Mom is home most of the time usually, so it isn’t too different for us, just the empty stores are a problem, and if they stop real estate, then she won’t be making money for a while.
Wow ! you got a lot of awards !! Congratulations !
Thank you. I’m my mom’s sports experiment and I’m doing well.
We know you are going to go very far in your competing Olivia!!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
I look forward to getting back to it soon!
Awww Now he’s a real cutie pie and look at all the awards totally cool. I never entered our Charlie in anything. He’s a Chocolate Lab and he’s my baby. hehehe He’s the winner of my heart though that’s for sure. Stay healthy and be careful out there.
Mom never did dog sports, but one day she read a blog post about nose work, she found a class, and before she knew it, she was addicted to dog sports. It is a lot of fun.
Congratulations! It ainβt bragginβ if itβs true! BOL!!
Correct! I’m simply stating the facts about me.
