Dog And Puppy Playpen – The Pieces
Our Yaheetech set came with eight panels, and eight stakes. One of the cool features of this playpen is that you can make it in different shapes, use as few as four panels, or buy another set and use sixteen panels. It’s easy to assemble, just stick the stakes in the holes between the panels and the walls go up. No tools needed, just two hands.
One panel has the door with two latches. These latches could also have a lock if you choose to put one on. The stakes have a ring on top for a better grip. If you use the playpen indoors, the stake sticks up a bit, but outside, you can stick the stakes a few inches into the ground to make it more stable.
Dog And Puppy Playpen – Different Set Ups
We took the dog and puppy playpen outside to give it a try. If you carry it altogether, it is about forty pounds, so it isn’t something you want to tote around a lot, but it isn’t too hard to move around. Outside we stuck the stakes into the ground, and it made the playpen super sturdy.
Bailie found it quite amusing to have me in the playpen while she and Olivia ran free around the yard. We built it into a square, but you can make an L, circle, triangle, lots of options. Yaheetech also has 24″ and 32″ high panel sets, but we wanted something that would contain a larger or jumping dog, so we ordered the 40″ panels.

For a small space, we tried assembling only four panels. This is more the size of a regular kennel.
Why would anyone need a dog and puppy playpen? Puppies need to be contained, and this is perfect for that! For dogs and for puppies, it can be set up anywhere, such as at a campsite to keep your pups outside, yet safe. Dogs who don’t get along can be separated with the confined dog having room to move around. Guest dogs can be comfortably contained, or if you are visiting someone, you can bring your playpen along – all eight panels, or maybe only six or so.

We have a pen like this. It was perfect for when I had my ASL surgery. It kept me still and safe. But when my brother arrived and mom thought great we will set this up again! Oh nooo my brother hated it and knocked it all down!!! And then jumped out! So mom got him a regular kennel that is sturdier. It amazed mom how he was able to knock down the pen!! Hopefully there is no more surgery in my future. But if it is, we still have the pen! Have a good day! You’re friend Lilly.
It is definitely not the same security as a regular kennel, but for many dogs, it is enough barrier and freedom to work well. My sisters and I wouldn’t knock it down. We are like you. Boys are rough and tough, you know 🙂

We are very happy with the quality of it, and it is pretty sturdy. Wild dogs can get out I’m sure, but we were nice and secure in the pen.

I didn’t really know why I had to be in there, but it wasn’t like being in a small kennel. It is nice to keep dogs separated, or puppies out of trouble.
Puppies like to run free, but sometimes you need a puppy pen to keep your baby safe. It’s a good thing.

Our yard is really a big playpen with the fence, this is a smaller version. It will come in handy sometimes.

what a great device for when you are traveling!
It would be great for camping or traveling where you need to make sure the pups don’t get loose, but they need to be out and move around a bit.

We need this so badly! The boys are so bad about barking at people walking on the sidewalk during certain times of the day. This would be perfect!
