The felines decided to hijack out blog for Feline Friday today. They haven’t had much blog time in a while and they have been demanding some time. Today is their day. We pups will step aside and let them meow around for our cat loving fans.
Good old Bert thinks he is a dog anyway, so he feels comfortable with the camera and being on the blog. He loves to roll around on our foyer rug. Mom doesn’t like that he gets his furs all over the rug.
Sophie is a hermit creature, so when she stumbled into the camera, she was not sure what to do. Her instinct is always to run and hide, but she stayed put for a short time. We like her white chest and paw furs. She really is a pretty kitty.
Sometimes Bert likes to keep to himself. Since he doesn’t have a “do not disturb” sign, he assumes a position to express his desire to be alone. The bad thing is he is in our dog bed!
Sophie spends most of her day sleeping in her fur covered bed in the back room. Mom has to defur the thing every few days because Sophie sheds so much. She does love it in her quiet spot though.
Bert is always hogging our dog bed when he can. Felines, such a pain in our dog furs! Now with warmer weather and sunshine he loves to be in our bed even more.
We leave you with a black and white photo of the beautiful Sophie. She truly is a pretty kitty. We will take back control of our dog blog now. Hopefully those of you who are kitty fans enjoyed some shots of our felines!
We are joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop held by Comedy Plus.
Furry Sophie is beautiful. Her eyes are haunting. I can see Bert is a pain in the behind. How dare he hog your bed! You’re very correct he thinks he’s a dog! Happy weekend
XOXO Sparkle
He wishes he could be a dog. The guy is trouble!
Well, well … I am waving my paws thisaway and thataway and meowing from Maryland to Minnesota … and if I could, I’d “bark and
howl” hello to Bert and Sophie!
Tail swishes from JUNE
We know the felines have fans, but we don’t like to give them too much blog time because it is a dog blog.
OMDs you let the cats share today…and I’m all kinds of happy. Sharing is caring you know.
Bert you are one handsome mancat. I love how you own that gawgeous rug. Bert Madi was always of the opinion if she could not see me or the camera were where not there. Love your face plant!!
Sophie I 100% love your velvety nose and those eyes WOW and that white chin patch.
Give your K9’s siblings a great big thank you for sharing
Hugs Cecilia
We have to be nice to the cats, says our mom. Sometimes it is fun to play chase and wrestle with Bert, but otherwise, we dogs don’t have much use for the felines. People do love them, so we give them some air time now and then.
We enjoyed seeing both of you sweet kitties and we’re really glad to see the pretty Sophie too!
Sophie was out and about a lot when she heard we needed photos of her for the blog.
I like seeing the resident kitties!! Love, Roary
We know they have their own following, so we have to let them post now and then.
we love sophie and Bert a lot…
We do think Bert would be happier living with you boys. He is just like you, all about causing trouble!
We love getting to see Bert and Sophie! You girls are sweet to give them a chance every so often. β₯
They are family, so we kind of have to, plus Bert would beat us up if we didn’t. He can be mean.
We really enjoyed seeing Bert and Sophie take things over today. Purrs friends
They do have their own following on our dog blog.
Oh how wonderful to get to see Bert and Sophie. They are both such good looking kitties. You two tell the pups that you need at least one day a week to be on the blog. It’s only fair.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
We don’t know what they would post weekly since they never go anywhere or do anything besides, eat, sleep and use the litterbox. But we do let them have a slot now and then.
It was very nice of you to share the blog with the kittens. They both are very pretty and Iβm sure deep down inside you do like them.
Sophie not really, and she doesn’t like us either but Bert is like a true sibling. We enjoy fighting with him pretty much daily.
Cats certainly are a different species. At least your Bert likes to hang around with you!
The kitties are adorable!
For cats, not bad π
Sophie is very pretty. I don’t think I have seen her before. When Bert is in the dog bed that must make it a cat bed!
Sophie is a recluse, doesn’t come out for much of anyone except Mom, and she isn’t a fan of dogs.
Doesn’t look like Bert has changed that much…it sure was nice seeing pretty Sophie today!!
He’s a permanent pain in the furs!
You girls have very pretty kitty sibs.
Thank you, but they do cause a lot of trouble.
Looks like “reigning” cats and dogs at your house!
Dogs reign, cats drool, right?
I always enjoy seeing your kitty fursibs. Have a good weekend.
They do have some fans, so we have to give them time on the blog now and then.
Bert and Sophie are purrfect! And we LOVE dog beds here. Cinnamon has 2 and there is usually one of us in the one she wants to lie in! Bert you Rock! Thanks for sharing your felines with us this week ladies! And Thanks for visiting us. We hope you have a marvellously happy weekend.
They are not too bad for cats, but they do get in our furs a lot, especially Bert. Sophie mainly avoids us.
Only dogs live (and can live) here, but we are of the opinion of equality for all. Angel Lexi advocated for “All animal lives matter.” Anyhoo, it was so nice to meet Bert and Sophie. They are beautiful kitties. Hmm, wondering what happens if you try to “share” your bed when one of them is in it?? XOX Xena and Lucy
Sometimes we just jump on Bert and then he fights like crazy to get us off of him. He has mean nails that can hurt us and he uses them. He rarely gives in.
Everyone in the Cat Blogosphere thanks you!
You do have beautiful kitties.
By the way, a recent study showed that cats not only love boxes, they even love rectangular or square shapes, or even a “box” made of tape on the floor in a rectangular shape. If Bert has a round cat bed, and your dog beds are rectangles, it explains why he likes yours better. Cats like squares and rectangles, whether as boxes, beds, or a book or newspaper. Even computer keyboards.
If you get him a rectangular bed of his own, and put it in a sunpuddle place, sprinkling it with catnip the first time or two he uses it, you might get your dog beds back!
You are right. They do have rectangular beds and sleep in them mostly. They rarely go in our round cozy beds, thankfully.
