New puppy cuteness is a great way to start out the week, don’t you think? Nelson discovered sticks, I mean twigs this week. He enjoys running around with them, but Mom doesn’t allow any chewing on them. Sticks and wood pieces are dangerous but there are too many to pick up in our yard, so Mom just watches Nelson like a hawk.
Lamby is a toy Nelson brought along when he moved in. It has the scent of his dog mom and siblings on it. He can use it to cuddle with, or if he misses his birth family it can help calm him. Sometimes he grabs it and hangs out with it. The collar and tag lamby is wearing is Nelson’s very first collar he wore when he was temporarily named Banner.
When we picked up Nelson a week ago, Mom said he looked like a linebacker. Well, guess which toy Nelson found and loves? Yes, our Vikings football is one of his favorites. I think our team has a new big fan for the upcoming season!
Mom works a lot during the weekdays to make money to keep us in the lifestyle we are accustomed to. Sometimes Nelson gets really tired of Mom working. He lays in the cuddle bed by her desk and gives her the sad and bored puppy cuteness look. It does work sometimes and she will get up and go outside to play with him and us for a few minutes.
Nelson loves to use his nose and the long ears help him with sniffing too. He started practicing nose work the first morning he was at our house. After just days of learning, he is already doing some amazing things. Tracking in the yard is also one of his loves.
Now and then, every puppy needs to nap because looking cute and playing with toys is exhausting! Our house looks like a toy explosion, but we don’t mind. Have a great rest of the week!

Bailie is bothered by him a lot, but Madison and I are dealing pretty well with him.
Nelson is such a cutie!! That ball wouldn’t last a minute with Levi, he’d chew it to pieces!
We are not usually very destructive, but give us a Packer ball and it would be toast in seconds, LOL!
