We spent Friday and Saturday at the Pierce County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth,WI. We went there for Scent Work. It isn’t all that far to drive from out house, so we could go back and forth each day. It was the first time we pups have ever been to Ellsworth. There are a lot of fun buildings and places to search at the fairgrounds as you can see on the map behind me.
I did three detective searches, two on Friday and one on Saturday. They were all super fun, and on Saturday, I got to search this train/bus thing as part of my search.
Detective it tough as you have to be perfect and you don’t know how many hides you are looking for. Last month I qualified in all four of my searches which was truly amazing! This weekend I qualified on one of the three. It was the 4H food building where we searched the kitchen and the deck eating area. Now I have five Q’s so I am half way to my Detective Title which is 10 Q’s. Detective has fancy Q ribbons but you can’t really see it in my photo.
Nelson has now visited four states! He was born in Missouri and traveled through Iowa to get to his home here in Minnesota. For him it is pretty exciting to get to add another state to his list. He took a photo by the Pierce County Fairgrounds sign to prove he was really there. For all of us, Wisconsin has been our fourth state since it is so close to where we live.
Finally, when you are in the cheese curd capital of Wisconsin you have to stop for a photo! The Creamery is where the best cheese curds are made, or that is what they say at least! On our way out of town, we stopped and took a photo by their big building mural. Sadly we didn’t buy any for us to try.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Way to go on being half way there. You’re amazing.
Looks like a fun place to explore. I know know why you didn’t get to try the cheese curd though. Ask mom.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. β₯
Mom says she could live on cheese and meat, but now she decided to go on a plant based diet so she can get off most of her meds which means eating isn’t much fun and no meat or cheese. She loved cheese curds.
That is a fun place. Since i’ve never had cheese curds, i wouldn’t mind trying them.
Congratulations to Nelson on his 4th state and to Olivia on her Q!
They are big in the Midwest, regular and fried. The really good ones squeak when you eat them π
Say cheese! Snap! Perfect picture of the 3 of you! XOXO Sparkle
It worked out much better than we had hoped for.
What a fun place to sniff!
It was fun and my first detective search had a wagon load of manure and dirty straw on a dirt floor but I ignored it all to search.
I need a map. Put a star where you live and then all the states the girls and Nelson have visited.
We have our lists on our The Staff page, but no map, just states in alphabetical order.
Go Olivia! We bet you get to your Detective goal before you know it!!
xoxo,
Rosy
I am hoping I get it this year. We will see how many trials I am able to enter.
You’ll get there, Olivia, never fear!!! And that brother of yours is so darn good looking and has powerful legs! I predict that he, like you will be especially talented! Glad Baillie was holding up her end of the Trio! We think you should have gotten curds!
Mom says Nelson is going to be a sports guy like I’m a sports gal. He is an amazing sniffer after just a month of learning.
Thank you for a great post.
Glad you enjoyed it.
You will get there, Olivia. You are one smart girl! Love the mural photo!
I’m not worried. Mom and I are getting the hang of it and it is not an easy title to get.
Olivia- you are doing grrrreat! Love the Mural map!
They had some fun spots for photos.
WOW, half way to being a Detective, that’s really cool!
I just wonder where I will pin my detective badge…maybe on my collar?
Too bad ya didn’t get any cheese curds, BOL.
We would love to try the regular ones, not the deep fried, but Mom didn’t buy any.
