There are more FastCAT runs for me in the books now after the last weekend. Last summer I earned my BCAT Title and now I am almost at my DCAT Title, which is my goal for 2022. Since I don’t travel well, Mom is trying to enter me in all the local ones which means an hour or so from our house. This weekend was in Cambridge at the same place we ran back in June.
As I said, I don’t like the car. Mom brought Nelson along to keep me company but he was not very thrilled. Most of the way to and from my trials, I sat on top of him. It is what I do when I get nervous in the car. He survived and said he doesn’t want to travel with me anymore. Normally each dog has their own side of the backseat, but I prefer to be with the other dog on their side.
Each day I had two runs. I started my weekend needing eighty two points for my DCAT Title. Saturday I ran fairly slow. We don’t know why, but the weather was really damp and wet. It wasn’t the kind of weather that makes me want to run. Still I earned two Q’s and some points towards me title goal.
Sunday my FastCAT runs were much better. I was back to my old time on the first one of the day and ran two seconds faster on my second run! See how happy it makes me feel?
I Q’d in all four runs and am now just twenty points/two runs, short of my goal. Mom has me entered in FastCAT again the first weekend of October. Barring any unforeseen issues, I should be able to wrap it all up then. I don’t plan on getting my FCAT as it is a lot of points and if I don’t travel, it would take me forever. I’m happy getting my DCAT and stopping there.
PS: Don’t tell Madison, but I am ahead of her in our breed standings right now. We are not going to do the trip to Nationals this year, but if we did, she would be out and I would be in! Amazing! There are only four dogs ranked and three of them are our family! Next year Nelson can join in the fun.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
You are doing great!
I’m happy and that is what matters. I can smell my DCAT and that will probably be my last FastCAT title but I’m fine with it.
Bailie you are quicker than greased lightning. WTG
Hugs Cecilia
At my speediest, I’m not too shabby, but I am not as fast as my sister Olivia. She is speedy.
You do wonderful at sports….even if you don’t like the trip to get to the event.
The car ride really puts a damper on things but I try to put it out of my mind.
Great Job Bailie!!! So proud of you!!!
Thank you. Mom was super happy I get faster on day two.
Great running. Bailie! You are doing pawsome. I’m bummed your pack is not going to Nationals. XOXO Sparkle
It just would be a repeat of last year. We would like to go when Nelson can run and he has to be a year old to run. Florida is a place we will head to again one of these days for FastCAT or other sports.
You are a superstar to us, Bailie!
yay!!!! It posted!
So are you because you are posting again! We got a can’t post message on another blog this morning but then it worked later on. Who knows what is going on with computers and software. We are happy it is working for you again!
Congratulations sweet Bailie, we love your happy smile! WOW, Three of you in the top four spots is amazing!!!
There are not many of our breed and most of them are either just pets or show dogs so we tend to get our noses on most “top” lists for sports. It is fun.
Wahoo!!! What a great day…except for the car ride, but it was worth it right??
xoxo,
Sunny
Car rides are no fun. Mom has new medicine for me which we are going to test out this weekend. I can’t take it if I am competing, so this will be a trial run for a possible big trip for me.
Bravo, bravo and bravo. I’m most impressed. I’ve always had pups that love car rides.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
Mom has had seven dogs including me and every one of them has loved the car, just me, I don’t like it at all π
Congratulations, Bailie! You and your family are the best. And the cutest!!
Thank you, and happy Tuesday!
Awww, thank you. We all love to have fun!
Bailie, you’re doing great! Once you do get that title, i hope you keep getting to do runs just for the fun of it, even if it’s not for any more titles.
I probably won’t run much because it would involve traveling and that is not so much my thing. I may do some local runs if Mom enters them.
so proud of you!, i laughed that you sat on Nelson the entire time. no wonder he rather play with Olivia. where the Nationals in Florida? i thought you had planned to go if qualified. i wish you would go.
I usually sit on whoever is in the backseat with me. I shake and pant and sit on someone. Nationals are in Orlando. We have been once and it would end up being a repeat of last year. Mom would rather wait until Nelson is old enough to run before we go again. There are other things we are focused more on this year.
Way to go Bailie! I wish you woud go to the Nationals as well! We are hoping to finally get there again.
I really don’t want to go because I have been to Florida a few times and it is a very long drive. This year sports focuses are on other things and Nationals for FastCAT will come up again when Nelson is old enough to run.
Way to go!
Way to chase that lure!
