Very dog friendly Christmas shopping is found at Scheels. Mom has gone to various Scheels stores with us for several years and they are always very welcoming. Heavens, I got stopped all the time because everyone wanted to pet me, tell me I’m cute, and ask Mom what breed I am.
Tuesday Mom had to do a lot of things with Gramma, and I got to go along for a mommy and me day. One thing on the to do list was the poinsettia. Mom managed to find a nice one for Gramma to put in her living room. We don’t have one at our house this year because of Nelson, but maybe next year.
After we left Gramma’s house we went to Scheels. Mom loves the store and since it is dog friendly I can go along. We needed to find some more gifts for the family. Christmas is quickly approaching. Right off the bat I found this portable ice house which is ideal for Madison. She just loves fish, so why not put her out on a lake to catch her own? I don’t think the man inside is included, but Madison could figure out how it works I’m sure.
Upstairs they have a home decor section Mom just loves. To me it was a cluttered mess and a way to get me to take some photos. Oh well, Mom is happy, I’m happy, right?
This old truck decoration is super cute. It would be fun to have at our house but Mom said we don’t need any more decorations. Too bad, but I think she is right. We have a lot of holiday stuff.
As we were getting ready to leave, we passed by the toy department where I found this awesome Viking! He is all made out of Legos, isn’t that cool? Dog friendly Scheels in Eden Prairie has a ton of Vikings stuff, probably since we have a winning record right now. Maybe Nelson will need to go check out Viktor one day since he is our biggest football fan!
As we always say, if you want to do some fun shopping with your pup, find a Scheels, you will love it!
We’ve never heard of Scheels but it does look like a fun store and dog-friendly is even better! We’re not sure that Madison would appreciate the portable ice houseβΊ
We love Scheels it is such a great store for our mom and us pups. I didn’t buy the ice house because Mom said she doesn’t want us out on the ice as it can be dangerous. Madison loves fish but has never been fishing, so it may have been too much for her to deal with anyway.
wow that is the best store! we would love to see it!!!
You boys would have a lot of fun in there!
What a great time you had. As for that Viking…wow!
That is a lot of Legos and time!
Sounds like a fun day
We all love our one on one mommy and me days.
If’n Madison ever does go ice fishing (so much fun) she’ll need little-yellow-rubber-boots, four of them!
PS: we’ve have decided we’re going to move to where you live! YUP, so much to see and do, always fun and
pretty places nearby too.
Just remember it is really cold and snowy part of the year. We love it, but it is not for everyone. Minnesota is a beautiful place.
We love stores that are pup friendly. We don’t have Scheels out here, the best we can do is the hardware and fix-it stores. Your pictures are very cute!
We sometimes go to hardware stores, but they are not all that interesting.
WOW!!! what fun, especially the LEGO viking! wonder how many LEGOs it took and how long???
I’m sure it took a really long time to put together the Viking. He is really big and well done too.
Great store! And you were such a good pup to help mom so much. Were there any other dogs in the store? Have a a great Friday!! your friends Lilly and Chester
We saw one other dog who was kind of wild and wanted to play with me, but I didn’t want to play, and one person was carrying around his puppy.
Wish I could have gone with you and mom. Looks like lots of fun.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
We love Scheels. They always have something we “need”.
What a wonderful store! I love the Legos Viking player (go Vikes!!!) I have a friend who is a Giants fan so we’ll be watching the Vikes beat the Giants on Christmas Eve!!! (He – of course – thinks the Giants will win) Since I live 30 miles north of Philadelphia – I do cheer for the Eagles. Been a Vikings fan for a loong time.
We don’t trust our team, despite the winning record. These down to the wire wins every time are just strange. Hopefully they will continue to win. We will be in PA next weekend, but somewhere in a forest in the middle of the state. Mom says it is going to be an adventure. Not sure if we will be able to watch the game next Saturday but on Christmas Eve we can.
You sure do look like one happy shopper and that does look like a super cool store!
It is an awesome store and Mom and I love it.
i have not heard of this store, I would be scared to let Nelson around the Lego Vikings, i can just see all of the legos falling apart. I guess you left Nelson at Gramma’s in the crate. poor baby. he would have loved to see all of those toys and gadgets.
We each have our turns for alone time with Mom. If she really needs to do some shopping, one dog is all she will take along. Nelson will get to go one of these days, no worries. He gets his turns.
What a magical store…that Viking is something else!!
xoxo,
Rosy
It is a wonderful store and we just love that Viking!
We don’t have those stores here, it looks like a great place for people and pups
It is a sports store mainly, but they have so much more. We just love to go there.
