This week we are thankful for a few things around our house. With all the snow, and a lack of sports this time of year, not much has been happening. Still, we each have something to be thankful for. I’m thankful I got to go to my first Summit class. The new level I am now competing in with my nose work is even more challenging and Team Orange has a lot to learn. My class was so much fun! Mom and I can’t wait to go to a Summit trial.
Madison is thankful for the not great weather this upcoming weekend. She was number ten on the waitlist for an NW3 Trial and now she has a spot since people cancel due to the upcoming snow! Mom has been practicing extra with her the past week or so just in case they got in and it happened. Here she is working on a vehicle search. We are excited that the sports season is getting started. We’ll be staying local for a while, but it is still going to be a good time.
Nelson is super excited still to be cone free, and he gets to do his first NACSW Nose Work Trial this weekend! Mom has been working extra hard with him on his sniffing too. Team Lime Green is hoping to have lots of fun and success. He is still a real beginner but he loves to sniff and once he catches odor, he is determined. I hope he does well but most of all, has a good experience.
Bailie is happy she can stay home in her comfy bed and not go to any trials. Mom hasn’t entered her in any sniffing trials. We are not sure if Bailie will try again or just find something else to do. She is difficult when it comes to trials. Her only wish is that cat bro Bert would stop sharing her bed. He just loves Bailie and Bailie really doesn’t want him hanging out with her.
No matter what is going on in your life, there is always something to be thankful for.
My GBGV Life is joining Brianโs Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Bailie and I think alike!
She just happy to hang out and cuddle anytime.
we would love to share the bed with a guy like your bert… we could be the thrilling three then ;O)
He would probably love to live with you guys. Trouble is his middle name.
Not sure who to be more excited for! Maybe Bailie needs the same bed but bigger??? Not sure who to feel sorrier for – Bailie or Bert or your mom – who would have to buy it. But the “B” boys sure look cute in it as it is!
There is a second bed right next to my bed but Bert insists on being next to me.
Nosework always sounds like such fun to me. Love the picture of Bailie and Bert resting together!
Every dog enjoys nose work because we are all designed to use our noses. Some of us are better at it and/or love it more than others but we see all breeds at trials.
I think Bert is thankful he can share Bailie’s bed! XOXO, Sparkle
He won’t give up even though she gets up and leaves, Mom moves him, she comes back and he cuddles up again. He is attached to her for some reason.
that is a great list of thankfuls for sure!
Thank you. Being kind of quiet these days, but still thankful for things.
Many things to be thankful for. We are thankful we do not get snow where we live.
If that makes you happy, that is great. We are thankful for all our snow.
Those are all such wonderful thankfuls and it sure sounds like you’ve got some busy days coming up, but you’ll have fun. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Some of the family has stuff coming up and we are excited to get going again.
I’m so glad you get to do trials locally and have fun, those of you who like them.
Sweet Bailie, build up some good “karma” by being nice to Bert now he’s an old man, you will want others to be just as nice to you when you are old, right?
I am nice to him but I wish he would just stay out of my bed as it is irritating but I don’t see him changing.
Sounds like everyone is having a banner week!!
xoxo,
Sunny & Rosy
It’s not bad and some of us are excited for the weekend!
The Boys love scent work too although we only do it for fun, but would love to do competitions one day, good luck xxx
Scent work is our favorite thing to do and we are all pretty good at it. Mom enjoys it as well.
