We are on the way home from a great BlogPaws conference in Las Vegas. Many people have asked why anyone would take a dog to such an event. I’m going to show you just ten of the fun things Bailie and I did while in Vegas. Remember…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so I can’t give up all the details!
1. The first morning we met up with some of our friends from Blogville and took a nice walk together. We all thought it would be nice to pose for a photo. From left to right: Dolly, Rocco, Sugar, me, and Bailie.
2. My sweetie Bentley the Basset couldn’t come, so I had to settle for hanging out with flat Bentley. I know how he feels since I was swapped for a flat Emma last year. Maybe next year we will meet up?
3. Vegas is not a place for youngsters, so every day we dropped Bailie off at PetSafe daycare for a few hours. She had a great time playing with new friends and the great pet sitters they had working there.
4. Shopping was awesome. The Jones Natural Chews booth had the best stuff! I also got to meet Flea for the first time. Boy is she great! I got lots of great stuff for my sisters and I, and of course, some wabbit jerky!
5. I made some new friends, but I think the stuffed Dalmatian was my favorite! Honestly, with all the travel, stuff going on, people, and pets, it was a bit overwhelming for me. This guy was super mellow, which I liked.
6. I tried some dry land paddle boarding. I think I might be ready to head out on the water next time!
7. Bailie took some of the seminars pretty seriously. Although there is a lot of fun to be had at BlogPaws, there is also a lot of information to process.
8. We hung out a lot with our friend Sugar and her mom. Sugar has been blogging for a long time, so she can help us out with which seminars to attend and proper dog etiquette at a conference.
9. I found another booth at the Expo that had some really great smelling food and snacks. Who wouldn’t want to stop and shop for a product called I and Love and You where the product is shaped in little hearts?
10. Sleep. We ran a bit short in the sleep department as we were going and going from dawn until about 10pm every day. Little Bailie was really sacked out when we got back to our room…her and I both were snoring a lot according to Mom!
BlogPaws is for networking with other bloggers and brands. We did out best to do a lot of both. Many people also wanted to know all about us and our breed which was fun. Since the GBGV is rare, we are used to talking about ourselves. Most folks liked me, but Bailie may have been one of the star dogs at the conference as she worked the crowed with her puppy cuteness and tried to give everyone she met her special huggles. Thank you BlogPaws for a wonderful conference! It was a blast, but we are ready to be home.
There was lots of mischief in Vegas, so I’m joining in the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies.
I’m also joining in the BlogPaws post blog hop. See what everyone took away from the conference last week.
WOW! You guys were really busy. I sounds like you had a great time. I am sure you slept the entire way home. I home Mom got to sleep as well.
PS. I can’t believe people didn’t love you as much as they did Bailie
People loved me, but Bailie is one of those extrovert types that likes to show off. I am a proper lady, and people realized that I am much more civilized 😉
Looks like you had a brilliant time and there was lots of fun things to do. Safe trip home. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Just got home after two long car days. So happy to be back!
Sounds like you guys had a wonderful trip.
Lots of fun!
Absolutely loved this post!! It was soooooo GREAT to meet ALL of you in person!!! I am sharing this and shared in the Newbies Community!!!!
Thank you! It was great actually meeting you, too bad Dakota wasn’t there, but I understand. Thank you for sharing. We had a blast!
Looks like you pups had a ton of fun!!!! I hope to be able to attend next year 🙁
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
We are looking forward to it as it will only be a one day drive, much better!
Looks like fun was had by all! We sure hope to get to a BlogPaws Conference some year!
You have to go, and once you do, you will be addicted!
Looks like you guys had an absolute blast. I’m sure you’ll sleep for days once you make it home.
I started by sleeping the last two whole days in the car. Terrible drive home and so long, but now I can really relax in my own bed spots.
How fun!! The only thing missing was me.. Kisses love you tons
That would have made it all perfect. I could also say I met Elvis in Vegas 😉
Thanks Emma, you made us feel as if we were there too!
Maybe we can meet up in Nashville next year?
Looks like you had a pawsome time!
We sure did, and we are all worn out!
The dalmatian is absolutely pawesome, Emma, I love it too ( and probably even to pieces). It’s so great to meet the people behind the blogs ( I sometimes can’t believe that they really exist, hahaha). I bet the heartshaped food was a kind of love potion for dogs, when they are single :o) I’m glad you had a great time.
Oh boy, you would have made pieces out of that spotted friend in not time!
Oh what fun you had, Emma! I met Rocco and Sugar at BarkWorld last year and it was great. It is wonderful to meet friends in person, isn’t it? It sounds like you were very busy. Ma is a bit disappointed she couldn’t go this year; she is hoping for the next one in Nashville!
Oz
Sugar wants us to go to BarkWorld…we shall see 😉
Wow you sure had a great time! Fun to meet Sugar and all the rest of the gang too! I loved your glasses look…and the sleeping picture. Hope you’re resting up after all the fun.
It was fun to meet so many friends finally! Little Bailie had the best time of all I think.
It sure looks like you had a fun, fun time!!!
We had a great time!
It was so fun meeting you guys! we had a great time too, but yep, we are all pooped.
Great to meet you too, sorry I was a bit introverted, but Bailie made up for it with her wildness!
My favorite picture is Bailie asleep on the bed! Next is you on the paddle board! What a great trip you guys had. Hope you are home safely soon. We have a ton of snow here in Colorado! Good decision to avoid it. Mom says that it will be all green when the snow melts. Just hope it melts soon. Your doodle friend, Dash
We got stuck in wind and rain instead, but we are finally home. Hope your snow melts soon!
MY MOMMY’S HOME!!! I was so happy to see her in the wee hours of this morning. Vegas looked pawsome. I am having a hard time focusing on anything because my mommy is home! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Oh, you would focus on the large bag of treats I got to bring home 🙂 Glad your mom is back!
Sounds like so much fun! Wish we could have gone! We think Flea is awesome too and we loved her Jone’s treats!!!
Well it looks like you all had a good time at BlogPaws this year, I wish I could have made it. There’s always next year!
Looks like you two had a GREAT time! I know Glogirly was happy to see you and your mom! …not sure what Waffles thought from inside his Waffle Wagon! He probably thought you were some kind of REALLY big cats with very long hair. ; )
So did you all sleep as much as Glogirly and Waffles? …I think they’re STILL sleeping!
~Katie
We just got home…very long drive because of all that bad weather. Sleeping starts soon. We saw Waffles in the stroller, but Mom said it isn’t nice to chase cats at BlogPaws, so we ignored him like we do our kitties at home.
Oh Emma, we make such a cute couple! I am going to get my mom to frame our picture so I can see you all of the time. I can’t wait to meet you in the fur next year. Mom said that you, Bailie and your mom were the best! Bark More, Growl Less Barking from the Bayou!
Kinda bummed we didn’t get to officially say goodbye to your parents, but that last night was chaotic. Hope to see you next year.
So glad you got to go this year Emma. I should have sent a flat Jodi in my stead so you could have your picture taken with me, but I totally failed. Maybe Nashville the real Emma and the real Jodi can have a photo?
We plan to go next year again…see you there!
Emma and Bailie, I see you had a great trip full of activity and adventure. I have enjoyed following you on Facebook and here on your blog. Hoping that I will be able to attend the BlogPaws conference in the future and meet you.
That would be awesome. We plan to be in Nashville next year.
Looks like tons of fun!! I hope that we can make it next year, Nashville is on my bucket list :] I am happy to see that everyone had a great time. Thanks for sharing these photos!
We plan to be in Nashville next year too. If you go once, you have to keep going.
Looks like you had a great time Emma! I bet you’re in need of a nice long nap!
A few days of recovery will be necessary!
Great report Emma, it was so much fun to meet you and Bailie in person. You are even prettier than I imagined 😉
Nice to meet you too. We were looking for you all day Saturday, but never did find you ;(
I’m glad everyone had a great time and there were so many cool things to do. I bet you guys will enjoy being home and just relaxing for a few days.
It will be great to get a good nights sleep for starters.
Wow, there is so much to see and do there, Emma. Thanks for sharing the great photos. I bet you’ll be sleeping a lot for the rest of the week!
I definitely need to recharge my batteries!
Looks like y’all had fun!
It was pawsome…now I have to unpack all the snacks I scored!
So nice to meet you all at BlogPaws. Maybe we’ll see you next year in Tennessee!

We are planning to go to Nashville.
Looks like you had a great time!
What a great adventure for all of you. Hope that someday Mom can go, but she will have to leave us home because all that activity would scare us. Your chronical was great.
I was pretty scared to be honest. I stuck right by Mom and didn’t want most of the dogs near me, but I loved the human attention. Bailie loved the whole thing, couldn’t get enough of it!
Sounds like you had a great time!
It was pawsome!
Looks like an awesome – and busy – time!
Lots of snoozing going on today back at home!
Looks like you had a lot of fun Emma 🙂
We had a wonderful time! Hope you are doing alright. Mom and I have been thinking of you.
Sorry I answered on your blog. My mind is not all together a lot of times these days.
That is okay. I asked on my blog. No worries.
Well, again you did the post mom WANTED to do but because I am so “uncooperative” she doesn’t even try much to get me to take photos like you did. We enjoyed yours so much and meeting you though! Love Dolly Pees: How did you do this and drive all the way to MN? We stopped too late on Sunday for us.
That drive about killed Mom’s nerves! She just kept going because we knew we wanted to be home Monday night. We were exhausted yesterday! Some of us dogs just love the camera, but you might be more like Katie who just likes to be a photo wrecker refusing to look at the camera or making a sad dog face if she does. Glad you are home now too.
Still having a rough time took us till last week to get Mica to eat. She’s never been an only dog so she doesn’t want to be alone at all. Going to get a puppy to give company but it will be abt. 8 weeks. We keep trying to do fun things with her but the rest of time she’s depressed. Still rough for all of us. Thank you.
When Mom’s last dog passed on, Katie was only 1 1/2 and it was hard for her too. She kept looking for Trine everywhere for a good month. Mom said they helped each other with lots of extra snuggling, Mom talked about Trine to Katie a lot and cried on her too. Mom still talks about Trine to us, she will never be forgotten. We are so sad for you and shocked at her passing as well.
Sounds like you had a great time! Hopefully Sadie and I will get to meet you there next year!
We plan to be in Nashville 🙂
What a super, funtaztix time you guys had, we would love to go there 🙂 xxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
You should come over…well it might be rough for a dog since you would have to swim the Atlantic. I flew over when we moved but it was scary.
It sure looks like you had fun. Wonderful that you got to meet up with some of your blogging buddies, and bery cool that they had a nice safe daycare to keep Bailie occupied when she could not be with you.
Bailie was happier not having to sit through all the seminars…she is still a puppy, so a shorter attention span.
Hey Emma
What a wonderful summary, I’m still upset I didn’t make it and get to meet you all, it seems you met lots of my other buddies too! Oh, I missed all the fun, oh well, maybe next year?
I know how you feel about being pooped, I was like that the other year, Dad and my human bro came too and a few times I could have stayed in the room and rested, but the moment Mum was at the door I dragged my tired butt to be alongside her, I didn’t want to miss a moment! 🙂
I hope you’re having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Bailie was the extrovert that was go, go, go from dawn til dusk. I usually spent a couple hours in the afternoon resting by myself and let Bailie be with Mom for some seminars. I was pooped as it was stressful for me. We are ready to hit Nashville next year! Too bad you couldn’t make it since you were pretty close.
Rooooo Bailie and I played in the playground, she’s pawsome! My human said she gave good hugs too. I was a little scared of all the people and pets, there were just too many for me to herd so I barked at them instead! I thought your board room photo from the hotel was totally super pawsome, they should hire you to promote the placet! *Waggy tail*
They asked if I would pose for a photo for the hotel…duh…I am a model! It was fun. Bailie had a blast. She just adored all the dogs and people. I’m with you, it was a bit too much and I was stressed out. Still great to meet you, though. Being as I was born in the UK, I enjoy hearing a British bark 🙂
Sounds like a fun time and much better for you than just going as flat Emma. 🙂 It is wonderful that you got to meet Flea.
Flea was great and I did some serious shopping and snooping around at her booth! Tons of tasty items!
So glad you had a good time, Emma! Ace and I are jealous, and we’re not sure if we want to make the long drive to Nashville next year. We are inspired by you and your mom and sister, though, because we know Vegas was a long drive for you this year!
It was a killer, but we have no regrets. Looking forward to half the drive next year!
Woof to you guys and to your super mom 🙂 LOVE hanging out with you. Looking forward on seeing next you next year 😉 Golden Woofs
We are happy it will only be a one day drive. Vegas was a real journey! It was great to meet you, Sugar! You sure had an adventure! Cracker Barrel will never be the same!
I’m so surprised that your guys are almost the size of Sugar! I kept thinking you are smaller dogs! 😛
It was funny at BlogPaws, most people found us to be smaller than they thought, but a few thought we were bigger. Sugar is really not that big and barely weighs more than I do. We are the size of normal dogs, really, just shorter.
Great tips, and traveling with a pet is so nice. Glad you gals got to go and have so much fun.
Mom likes to take us along when she can.
Looks like a lot of fun was had by all!!
It was amazingly awesome, the conference and the hotel!
It looks like super fun!
It was an awesome time!
Great photos! Maybe one year I will be quiet long enough to pose for a photo with you. BOL! At least our humans were able to wave hello in person. 🙂
Hugs,
Pepper
Thanks. Who knows what things will be like in a year. We will be there!
