Doorways is the #PetPhotographyChallenge for week eight. I’m the designated model this week, which makes me happy! This weeks challenge is composition since last weekβs challenge was technical.
What does Doorways mean?
Hopefully if your language is English, you know what doorways are! For this challenge one could use a door, a door frame, an arch leading into an area, anything that could be considered a doorway.
What is the challenge?
The challenge here is composition, to make the photo interesting. We love the old barns with their antique charm. I like to call this one the hidden doorway, as the door blends really well into the building. Our initial plan was to photograph me with a fancy door in the city, but driving in the city, parking, and walking was too much for Mom right now, so we opted to stay out in the country.
For us, the biggest challenge is to get the entire door into the photo without making me look too small. I’m really pretty short, so it can be a tough task!
Awesome Photo, should be framed!!
Thank you.
You certainly found an interesting door with lovely windows and a wheel to add some interest, but YOU, Emma, are the outstanding object in the photo! Happy weekend! XOXO, Sparkle
Unfortunately, it was before my spa day, so my furs were not as perfect as they could be, but we do love the old farm places.
Love that photo!!!
Forgot to mention, I read (and just responded to) your comment on Cody’s blog….but wanted to make sure you saw it. NO WORRIES!!! If you are the winner, I either already have your address, or since I know you, I know where to find you! Your entry still counts!! Have a great weekend!!!
Thank you. It happens to us all the time as it is such a habit!
Thank you. We love old buildings that are almost falling apart.
Great picture. You look like you are in the wild Wild West!
Close…the Wild Midwest, LOL!
Holy cow, I love that barn. That’s a great shot!
We do too. It is hard to find old buildings like it where we can actually go on the property to take photos. We are always jealous of all your treasured finds.
Pawfect!

Thank you.
oh that looks as if you just visited the Ingalls… bet they are fabulous hists… better than Nellie Oleson and her evil momma :o)
You know the whole Ingalls thing takes place just a couple hours from us. We’ve never been there, but a lot of people we know have.
I love old barns too and this one makes a perfect shot for your challenge! Great job. β₯
We like those old buildings for backgrounds.
Pawsome photo!
Thank you.
Love the rustic feel of this Emma!! Mama has been totally slacking since all it seems to be doing is RAINING here…
Smileys!

Rain does take the fun out of things. We had rain on Monday and it was nasty!
That is a super cool photo!
Thank you. I bet some feral kitties might live in the building since the door is cracked open.
I love this….you find the coolest old places in the country, and I prefer that over the city any day!
Thank you. The challenge is to find a spot we can use that isn’t too far to walk.
That’s a great photo! I love everything about it. You always find cool city scenes, but the rustic ones are always my very favorite, so I’m glad you stayed in the country for this π
It just seemed like the right idea for us this week. Thank you.
Beautiful picture ! I love old barns and shaggy dogs ! (I grew up with both.)
Thank you. I guess we like those two things too.
I love old barns, too. Always so much character and story in a barn. Very nice photo!
Thank you. The worse shape they are in the better!
Great choices in doors Emma, Love the rustic look. Did you go inside the barn?
We didn’t go in because Mom thinks lots of critters live there in the winter.
You aced this one! I love this challenge, don’t you?
We always love a photo challenge to motivate us to do better and learn more!
That is a very very cool old doorway, and you look great in front of it! Well done!
Thank you. We love these old buildings.
we love the rustic look! Pawesome photo!!
Thank you. I bet there are a lot of live mice inside of there for kitties to catch!
It came out really nice.
