Have you had root chews for dogs? When we are home in the evening, Mom likes to relax, and we relax by getting some kind of chew. Most chews don’t last very long, and they are not cheap. What about root chews?
My GBGV Life received four root chews from CHEW Premium Dog Treats to review. The opinions in this review are the honest opinion of My GBGV Life. CHEW Premium Dog Treats contacted us to see if we would be interested in trying their organic, all natural, root chews for dogs. We said we would love too. Since we typically have our chews in the evening, we had to test them out in the evening. Even on the deck, posing for some photos, we could smell the goodness, and I could not keep my tongue in my mouth!
The chews come in medium and large sizes. We received three medium and one large. One thing we like is that they are lightweight, and easy to carry around the house. They also don’t have any odor humans would notice, and they don’t cause stains on the carpet or furniture.
I dug into my root chew first. It was important for me to hold it tight and get some sniffing done before I started to gnaw on it. Don’t you think it is a funny looking thing?
Bailie took some time to sniff hers too. Each one is a different shape and slightly different size. We traded back and forth a few times the first night.
Root chews are single ingredient, made in the USA, additive-free, chemical-free and preservative-free. Not only do they help with your dog’s dental health, they also freshen breath. What dog doesn’t want to be more kissable?
I really get into my root chew. These are great for dogs of any age, especially teething puppies. As with any chew, your dog should always be supervised.
If you want to see and hear me in action with my root chew, check out the short video I posted on Instagram the other day!
Bailie enjoys her chew too, but I think I like mine a lot more!
What are you waiting for? The holidays are almost here, and root chews for dogs make excellent gifts or stocking stuffers! Paw your way over to Amazon to order today!
Will give them a try. Thank you b
I would give them to your pup, Katie…not so good for humans to chew on π
I love to chew and will be checking these out for my Christmas list! Thank you!
These are good. We gave one to a lab friend who is 6 months old and he is nuts about it, and it holds up fairly well.
Interesting. I wonder if Torrey would like them? She is not much of a chewer, but I wish she would for her teeth.
We are not big chew hounds, but we enjoy a bully stick, marrow bone, etc in the evening. These are great too, when we have the urge and don’t have anything else available.
I never heard of these! I’ve always avoided hard or long lasting chews with the dogs. But these look interesting! Luke likes to steal pieces of bark out of our wood bucket for the stove, so I think he might enjoy something like these, and I feel like it would be safer for his teeth than other hard chews or bones.
We enjoy chewing sticks, but Mom won’t let us. These don’t splinter, but have that wood feel to them. I bet Luke would enjoy them. They are not as hard as something like antlers either.
the mama has it on her list, she thinks that’s better than the sardines in oil da nelly wants… he will not make such a mess and it will not stink in our crib ;O)
The best stuff stinks the most, but humans are party poopers about that.
We will give these a try, thanks for posting.
We love to share things we love at our house with our friends.
I am a chewer! I will beg my mom to get me one for Christmas or my birthday! XOXO, Sparkle
The ideal solution for a chewer. I love to hang out and just chew on my root.
Our Little Bit would have loved these. She loved her chews. It’s good when you have a big dog to have something that takes some time to finish off.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. β₯
Most chews just disappear before you know it, but these last.
My goodness, those things do look woofie wonderful!
Perfect for dogs, cats, not so much.
Looks good. How long to they last? They are pricey. Duncan would need a small I think. He’s only 15 lbs.
We are not super aggressive chewers, but it looks like they will last a very long time as they still look barely used after about a month.
We may have to get one of these for Rosy this Christmas!
xoxo,
Jakey & Arty
I think they might be getting small ones in stock too. They last like forever.
We have never heard of a root chew before. Mom says we can’t have them because one of us does not share chews. Enjoy!
I had mine, but then I stole Bailie’s. A while later I stole my original one back. Lucky for me, Bailie is super sweet and lets me steal from her.
Interesting, first time hearing about this. Thanks for sharing your experience.
They are long lasting, but not rock hard like bones or antlers. A good option for many dogs.
