Yes, letters to Santa Claus are a very important part of our Christmas preparations around here. Did you know, there are even special mailboxes to put the letters in? I don’t think the regular USPS delivers to the North Pole. We could send email, but we prefer traditional letters.
Bailie and I got or our paper and writing tools. It’s not easy drafting up our letters. We need to put a lot of thought into them. Santa doesn’t like greedy dogs, so we try to only ask for what we need. Thankfully Bailie and I don’t need a lot of things.
We did hold off on the letters until we got our nice list confirmations. Honestly, I was a bit worried about Bailie making the list since she can be real naughty, but she never means any harm. It seems Santa sees her big heart, and that is what really matters.
Bailie was also deep in thought trying to decide how to narrow her list down. I think she is more needy than I am. Maybe because she destroys things she loves, she needs more things?
After working for a while on our own, we both decided to combine our letters to Santa Claus into one joint letter. Lately, we seem to do almost everything together, so why not our letters too? Bailie and I are super close, and have gotten even closer since losing Emma.
Our conclusion was to each ask for two things we really want or need. Bailie did the writing, and I added some decorations to make our letter festive, and stand out to Santa. I guess on the 25th of the month we will see if our letter was well received by the big guy at the North Pole!
If you are looking for ideas, check out the Chewy Holiday Shop. It is kind of like a toy catalogue for pets, but also has treats and other good stuff!
Great letter Madison! I hope you girls get everything you want! Some news from over here: looks like I might have torn my ACL. Mom is so sad because she has worked hard taking care of us. We arenโt overweight, we exercise, she doesnโt know when I might have done this injury. We see the specialist soon and will know if surgery. Cross your paws no surgery. Have a great day! your friend Lilly
Oh no! Make sure and see a specialist! Bailie was told she had a torn ACL and it turned out to be strained hip muscles. Mom took her to a sports medicine vet and got the right diagnosis. Remember all summer she couldn’t run around. We both hope you don’t need surgery. How terrible during this time of year too. How did you do it? No matter how well you are cared for, stuff happens. Humans feel terrible, but we can’t live in bubble wrap, right? Hugs to you and your mom. Keep us posted. You can always email us too if you have news or need anything. Our email is in the sidebar. Really hoping for the best.
That is a great letter girls, I bet you get much much more.
We have so much, we don’t need a whole lot, but pillows would be high on the list since they keep exploding around here.
I’m sure you will get what you want from Santa, you guys are good and very cute too.
Thank you. I think Santa will be good to us.
You guys have been so nice this year I bet you get more than two years each this year.
We don’t need a whole lot of stuff, since we have so much. Just being a family makes us happy.
Dear Bailie and Madison,
Your letter is pawsitively great! I used to explode my beds when I was much younger. The only naughty thing I do is steal stuff like small boxes, paper plates, and stuff like that. I bring them to Mommy when she meets me at the cookie jar and politely drop the object at her toes. Yep, tail wagging! I hope you get all the stuff you want (or need.) I can only imagine how hard this was for ALL of you writing your letter to Santa without Emma. XOXO, Sparkle
It is a tough holiday season, but we have to get through it. I think it is much harder for Mom. Bailie will never outgrow exploding pillows. It just happened again the other night. My mom has given up on hoping she will grow out of the habit.
eggsploding pillows? that’s a super good thing, we hope Santa brings them and lots of treats too!
Treats are always a good thing, right? Bailie needs a lot of pillows because she causes them to explode frequently!
I’m glad to hear you girls are closer than ever. I know it must be a blessing to your mom to have you two being such a loving pair. Happy Christmas.
Us being BFF’s makes Mom really happy, but we do miss the third wheel a lot. Mom misses Emma the most, but it makes her happy to see me and Bailie so happy.
I hope you get everything you want for Christmas! I’m glad Bailie made the nice list. We are not sure about my feline sister Rosie this year …she may be on the naughty list this year.
I think cat bro Bert is King of the naughty cat list, but he doesn’t care. We are excited Bailie made the nice list because she has a naughty side.
I’m sure you’ll get everything on your list. We all know that you’ve both been good this year.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your mom. โฅ
Thank you. We think Santa will be good to us.
Aw, you girls are so cute, and your hearts are in the right place, so I’m sure Santa will reward you both. He knows how hard you try to make Mom feel better when her eyes get leaky over Emma. Happy Holidays to All of You!
Thank you. Santa is a good guy. He knows we do our best.
That was just purrfect sweet ladies and there was never any doubt about you both being on the nice list!
With Bailie, we always wonder.
What a wonderful letter to Santa and I’m not surprised to see you both on the “nice” list!
Bailie has a naughty side, but Santa seems to be able to overlook it.
I think you guys got it covered. And I bet Santa Paws brings you a whole sleigh-load of toys and pillows and lots more.
We don’t need much really, but a few things would be nice.
Good thinking for Bailie to ask for extra pillows to explode…Jakey also asks for extra toys to destuff…Santa is pretty understanding about things like that!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Santa understands because they are not his pillows that are exploding!
What a great letter, girls! We are glad that Santa understands that Bailie always means well, some girls just have that wild streak. ๐
She is a very sweet and gentle soul, but she has that urge to explode pillows and can’t seem to get over it.
I am so glad that you got those confirmations. Of course, we all knew that you were nice!!! I hope that you get all that you want.
I wasn’t worried about myself, but Bailie always is on pins and needles with her naughty streak.
You girls did a great job on collaborating! We boys are not sure what to ask for. I need a new bed, but Elbe keeps tearing mine (and his) up. We like treats. Our stockings are hung. We could both use new collars. Hum….what to do???Chablis
Bailie is the wrecking ball around here. It gets frustrating when she ruins good stuff.
I’m sure Santa delivers your purrezzies right through your door…eh…chimney… first, with such a modest list of gifts and your gorgeous faces he just can’t refuse?Pawkisses for a Happy Day???
I think we have a good chance of getting what we asked for. Why ask for more than we need.
I’m sure Santa will grant your wishes, Madison. Like you, I did wonder about Bailie….I guess we shall see. ๐
She is so very sweet and never means any harm, so we think she will be fine.
