It’s our Friday Mix! This week, we have a lot of little things to share, so we put them all together and made our mix. Bailie is starting off the post with Flag Day. Can you tell??? She really enjoys being a patriotic pup! Our geraniums are looking real nice and patriotic red too!
Olivia is super excited because she finally has her name tag on her collar. Like Emma, Bailie, and me, she has a Silver Paw Pet Tag. We just love them and they last forever. It does seem like she might be more interested in eating her collar, though. Now she is chipped and has a tag, so there is no losing this puppy!
For nature Friday, I have some purple flowers from my morning walk. See how green everything is, and how long all the grass is? Our weather has been pretty cool and wet, causing everything to really grow.
Mom took Bailie for a walk and they found some pretty wild daisies.
Unfortunately, they also came across a turtle. Yes, most people are into turtles and saving turtles, but my mom is scared of them, and so is Bailie. Mom says they are creepy prehistoric creatures. Nevertheless, she took a photo of the ugly thing. Yikes! Glad it didn’t attack her.
Lastly, we want to remember Katie. Well, only Mom and Bailie knew her, but she passed away on Bailie’s birthday in 2016 just ten days shy of her fourteenth birthday. Mom doesn’t want to ruin Bailie’s day every year, so we will remember her a few days early. This photo was when she was about nine weeks old I’m told. What a fuzz ball!
Emma, Katie, and Mom did a photo shoot with Karin Newstrom and got this photo of Katie at ten years old. She sure was a beautiful lady dog. I hear she was super sweet too.
Finally, this is a photo of Katie three weeks before she passed away. Mom took her to one of her favorite places to just hang out together and take some photos. You can see how happy she was. Because Mom knew Katie was so ill, she made sure to do a lot of special things with her in the final weeks. She misses Katie, but she will not have another Kuvasz because she can’t take all the fur. We hope Katie is together with Emma in heaven looking down on us.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.

Would it be possible for a pup to loom more patriotic than Bailie. I don’t think so. And well done to mom for being so brave and taking the photo of the turtle.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Bailie loves to be patriotic!
Looking good! We like the mix of photos and ideas! Olivia seems to be fitting in! Hooray. Chester is going to the groomer! Yikes!! I wonder what he will look like. I wonder if we will recognize him after!! Have a good day. your friend Lilly
I bet he will be smaller after the groomer. Hopefully you will be able to get a better hold on him.
Bailie, you look so patriotic and you just melt our hearts with your puppy cuteness, Olivia. That’s a painter turtle and harmless. It’s the snappers that you have to fear. Katie was a beautiful girl♥
We know of snappers, and we know turtles are slow, but Mom is afraid they will attack her.
I’m sure Katie and Emma are running free and taking care of all of you.
We sure hope so. Bailie was lucky to know them both.
Terrific flag waving sweet Bailie! That was a very sweet way to remember dear Katie.
Wish I had met Katie, but I have heard a lot about her.
Oh my goodness the flowers are beautiful. So glad Olivia is doing good, and has her official ID now too.
It’s almost to much for her little collar, but it works.
happy flag day to you… that’s so cute to see your little sis with her name tag… now she is absolutely and fuerever and ever a part of your furmily… we remember the year 2016 with pains and tears… and I hope so much that such a year never happens again… so much tears in so much families… unreal somehow…
Mom says 2016 was pretty sad, but for us, the day we lost our Emma in 2018 was the absolute worst.
Turtles are a bit interesting. I liked them when I was a kid. It’s funny how you don’t see them around too much I recalled how I’d spot one trying to cross the road once per summer and wondered why I never saw those critters more often. One time, DS brought indoors a tiny turtle he found while outside doing yard work. The creature while small inside sure did relieve itself a lot on my carpet. I guess it was nervous. I immediately had DS to take it back outside. lol Hoppy Friday, furriends!
I’m sure the turtle was terrified being in a house, but glad it got back out and on its way. We wish them no harm, but stay out of our sight 🙂
Sweet memories of beautiful Katie. Haopy Flag Day and Happy Fri=yay! XOXO, Sparkle
The weekend is almost here, which is great!
Happy Flag Da Bailie!! What a lovely pose…were there cookies involved?
What a beautiful name tag Olivia, little one you are growing quickly
Madison well done on the commentary…
Sending many hugs to your sweet Mom as she remembers beautiful Angel Katie…
Cecilia
Actually, we rarely get cookies for modeling. We do it because we enjoy it.
Great job on flag day and Olivia is so precious. What a wonderful addition to your family.
Katie was sad, but it is apparent that she was well loved. It’s so hard to see them go.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to the pups. ♥
Mom wishes she had all of us, although it would sure be a lot of work for her!
What a great Friday mix! You know we love your nature pix(even the scary turtle) but we really enjoyed seeing Katie…and we bet she and Emma are smiling as they watch all of you playing together and getting used to Olivia!
Happy Flag Day!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Thanks for hosting. We thought you might like the scary turtle.
I’m sure Katie and Emma are together in Heaven. And I’m sure they’re watching over you three girls and your Mom. Just like Callie and Shadow are watching over Ducky and her Daddy and Me. 😇😇😇😇
We get signs from them now and then which makes Mom really sad.
Happy flag day, Bailey! You are the poster child for this day! We are turtle fans here. ( well, except for any species of snapping turtle – unless it is in soup). We are so excited about you getting a new sister! All her “firsts” have already started! Trips, modeling, flag day, turtles! WOW!!! She is one lucky puppy to have such a great mom and good lookin’ sisters! We boys are envious! Chablis and Elbe.
You boys have it pretty good too. Having a new little one around can be a pain in the furs, but we are trying to adjust. She is always in our business!
Patriotism, memories, and turtles, yep, that’s quite a mix. And don’t worry about turtles attacking, they are very slow and easy to outrun, and are usually scared enough of people to shut in their shells and leave us alone.
Mom knows that, but she is still afraid of them, says they are super creepy.
Great flower and flag day photos! Katie certainly was a beautiful dog, and we know she and Emma are together now, watching over you all. ♥ Hugs to your Mom, we know how much she misses them both.
She does miss them a lot.
We don’t like turtles here either, we have big snapping turtles that can really do damage to to dogs.
We have them too, but Mom doesn’t know what the difference is. She is just not a turtle fan.
What a fun mix of topics! Great photos and we also remember the beautiful lady, Katie! I’m sure that she and Emma are having fun being together again and howling over little Olivia.
Thanks. Lots of odds and ends to wrap up the week with.
Aw, Katie was such a sweet-looking girl. I can tell how much you loved her… Sending hugs.
Hard to believe she has been gone for 3 years, but I never knew her. Bailie and Mom miss her.
