The Shiba Inu boys, Crush and Marvel, came over for another play date last week. We had so much fun the last time they came over, we thought it would be fun to meet again. Bailie doesn’t like puppies pestering her, so we left her inside to do her own thing. Crush, Marvel’s big brother, also has no interest in our nonsense, but he stayed outside with us.
This time we got right down to play because we all know each other now. Marvel has grown a lot, even though he is still a young puppy, he is almost as big as his brother. He’s a pretty handsome little fellow.
Madison is rather bossy, with me and Bailie and with friends. She is small, but likes to be the canine in charge. We had a little meeting to discuss our game plan for the day. Marvel is really my friend. He likes me a lot, and I really like him. Madison was not real happy about being the third wheel in our games.
Even Marvel seems to think he is a real tough guy…at what, four or five months old? He tries to scare me, but what he forgets is that I am like twice his size. It’s a good thing I’m such a friendly girl.
We enjoyed a lot of chase games back and forth through the yard. Marvel starts out faster, but once I get going I use my giant turbo paws to gain speed and catch up to the little fellow.
It turns out Madison is a bit jealous of my playing with Marvel and not her. She would join in and try to capture me. Mom captured this shot of her flying through the air on her way to grab me I guess.
The three of us did some serious sniffing under the deck. I think critters hang out in that area when we are inside. Marvel doesn’t seem to know why we are sniffing, but he will figure it out in time.
I did one of my fly bys for Marvel so he could see how fast I am and how I can even fly like a birdie.
Oh heavens, after I did my fly by, the little fellow decided he would try to fly too. He seems more like a pouncing cat, but still, I needed to back up fast…who knows where he might land.
We have so much fun together, probably since we are closer in age than the others. Still Marvel, who is the only pup in his litter, can be a bit spoiled and forget to respect pups who are older than he is. No worries, I am not at all afraid of either of the Shiba Inu boys. I’m a big girl and I can handle myself.
Our play date lasted about an hour. We were all exhausted from all the racing and chasing we did, almost non-stop. It was so much fun, and I think Marvel and I will be bffs forever. Hopefully we will get to see each other at dog sports events, but it will be hard since we won’t be able to play with each other at those events. Good friends are good to find.

wow they re super play mates!!!! why we haven’t such fab neighbors? ours are boring… maybe therefore they call it neigh-bor-hood?
Well, they are not neighbors but do live only about 10 mins away. Lots of fun that little Marvel.
All the photos are wonderful, but that last one of the two dogs walking away together, is really charming.
Marvel and I are real good pals now.
Yes, good friends are hard to find. Make sure you stay in Touch with her.
Their mom is into dog sports like our mom, so we will see each other a lot.
what a fun day! And Madison can really fly!! You and Marvel look like such good friends. How wonderful. Have a great day! your friend Lilly
Marvel and I really did a lot of tearing around chasing and stuff. He is tons of fun for me.
That sure looks like a fun time ripping and running and flying in the snow!
It sure was a lot of fun. I’m sure they will come over many more times for some fun.
Darling playtime photos!
Thank you. It was a lot of fun.
How fun. Nothing better than a play date. It helps to socialize pups and that’s a good thing. You all had a great time. Tell mom she took some great photographs.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the pups and a hug to mom. β₯
Thank you. She loves to use the camera on us pups π
How wonderful you have playdates! We don’t have many friends outside our household which is sad, but the way it is.
We have some, but we hardly ever get to play together. Usually we just see each other at dog sports events.
Besties playing in the snow, yay! It looks like a fun day and you’re all so beautiful against that white stuff.
Thank you. Playing in the snow is a lot of fun.
That must be a lockdown meeting ! 3 dogs allowed ! Maybe 4 outside !
LOL! Good one! We don’t have that going on here right now, so we can gather as we like, thankfully.
Love the photos – sure tired me out! Even though my Alex is older, he loves to run – especially zoomies!!
Running in the snow takes more energy too, but it is a lot of fun. Run Alex! Zoomies are always good.
Olivia you are so full of fun and games with Marvel. What a fun hour you had. I might be a bit more like Madison. XOXO, Sparkle
Madison gets jealous of Marvel and me, but then we chase a bit and she gets tired and sits out for a while. She does like to control things but it is hard with two wild young ones.
Wowzers, Bowzers! What a fun play date you all had! Sure does look like a great time!
We had a lot of fun, and hopefully they can come and play again soon. Actually, Crush could stay home like Bailie does but the rest of us have a lot of fun.
My brother has a Shiba Inu, they are so smart! The ones that visited you are gorgeous!!
They are smart, but super stubborn! Our friends are very nice and Marvel is a lot of fun.
What a terrific Awww! We LOVED seeing you guys playing! There are some great camera shots of the “kids” playing! Thank you for sharing them with us! They made our hearts sing with Joy! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Thank you. Marvel is a great playmate!
What fun to play in the snow together for a whole hour! Great photos!
When they were here before we played longer, but this time there was snow and we played harder, so an hour wore us out.
Looks a great fun rip-n-run time, i am so glad you all had such a nice play date.
Play dates are fun and we all had a blast wearing ourselves out.
That is so cool that you have friends to come play. The boys are very cute too!
We have a few friends that stop by to play in our fenced yard and we always have a good time.
