Sharing seems to be something Olivia doesn’t really believe in. Most of the time she takes the bed on the window bench, so last week Mom put the second bed on the bench for me. See how nice we are sitting? Each of us has a comfy spot? Well, hold on to your leash because it won’t last!
I stepped away for just a few minutes and came back to finding Olivia hogging both beds in a rather wasteful manner. Seriously, does she really need that whole second bed for a pillow? I posted this on Facebook thinking it was funny. At the time, I didn’t realize it could get worse! Thankfully, Bailie has no interest in the window bench. She has her own fur bed and Olivia knows not to use it. I guess I am not firm enough with the little one.
The next day, look what Miss Smarty Pants did! Yep, took both beds, stacked them on the floor and went to sleep. What is this girl thinking? One bed should be plenty comfy and cozy, but not for Olivia. I wish I had a pea so I could put it under there and make it uncomfortable. Remember the Princess and the pea story? Needless to say, Mom gave up on putting two beds on the bench as it doesn’t help at all. I will sit on the cold, hard leather while the princess takes her nap I guess.
It is not only beds she hogs, but toys as well. Check out the look she has on her face! It is like don’t even think about taking Purple Furballz away from me. She hoards toys and chews in the wicker kennel all the time.
Here she is sleeping on one of our other Furballz. The girl seriously needs to start sharing! I know she does love me and we are besties, but she could be a bit more accommodating, don’t you think? Olivia has also started bringing toys up to bed at night and no one can have those either. Grrr…

This is not an issue Mom, I deserve all this “stuff” because I am adorable.
That is kind of how Olivia feels in this world.
Dang, Olivia sure is sharing with herself though. Maybe give her a stack of beds and let her distribute them!
She would probably see how high she could stack them, LOL!
It’s a good thing that Christmas is past or you wouldn’t be on Santa’s good list, Olivia.
Oh, Santa would love me no matter what because I am such a snuggle hound π
oh my she IS a character!!! LOL!!!!!
She is overflowing with character!
Tell mom you need more beds and toys.
She already says we have way too many of both around the whole house.
Even though I am twice her size, except for space Puffin is just like Olivia! If my mom gives me a toy Puffin rips it from my mouth! I have to admit I sometimes push her out of my mommy’s lap. Wait! I digress. I do my share of being the hog. XOXO Sparkle
Bailie and I don’t hog stuff at all. This thing with Olivia is totally new to our family.
What a little sister!!! My little brother tries to be bossy with toys too but then I remind him that I am the big sister. Have a great day! we loved this post. your friend Lilly
I try to let her know I want a bed but she wants them all. Despite that, I do still love the giant little one π
Awww, Olivia knows what she wants and she just takes whatever she wants. Good for her. Blog fodder for you and entertainment for us.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around. β₯
Yes, she is a girl who knows exactly what she wants and she will mow down anything in her way trying to get it. I guess she has lots of self confidence.
da nelly is da same toy-bed-place hogger… and he is glued to the mama like well ya know… but I know how to remove him… with pretending I’ve found something tasty LOL
Olivia is like glue on Mom too. Not sure if she would leave Mom for food or not. Probably she would.
Cinnamon is that way with her balls! We are NOT allowed to touch them, or she gets right in our face and GROWLS! We do steal her beds though and she does not bug us at all. The only toy in the house that NOBODY touches is Marv’s Ratty! He gets really upset and uses whappy paws with claws if ANYBODY touches it! Have a marvellously happy day!
My ratty I got for my Masters title is mine and only mine. Mom keeps it in a safe place and I let her know when I want some time with him. Balls are worthless at our house. No one wants them.
Sharing is hard sometimes, especially when there is such softies around to enjoy.
Mom says her dogs have always shared, but Olivia wants it all to be her stuff.
Looks like you two have a very “hard” life! Have a great day!
Very tough! It is a wonder we can survive.
Madison, the look on your face sitting on the bench bedless is priceless!
I was not at all amused by Olivia stacking the beds and me left sitting on the cold, hard leather.
Oh what cute pictures!
Thank you.
Ducky was picky about sharing things with Shadow, though not with Callie or Radar. Probably because they didn’t let her get away with it. ππ
This sharing thing or not sharing thing is totally new at our house and no one really knows what do do with Olivia.
Hmmm, i know you can teach children to share nicely and be kind to one another by having them do nice things for each other, but i am at a loss of how you teach dogs. Maybe a dog behaviorist would have some good advice.
Olivia just likes to have everything for herself, but she is nice to us. Hopefully she will grow out of it.
You’re quite the interior designer on that window seat.
Olivia has been very busy lately!
Little sisters can be so bratty sometimes! Hopefully Olivia outgrows that! π
She is really the spoiled family baby, but we still love her.
