Rolling in the grass seems to be a nice way to cool myself off. Since the end of last week, our temps have been between ninety and one hundred, way too warm! If I can find some grass in the shade, I start my rolling.
Oh boy, it feels so good on my back. Not only is is kind of cooling, it also scratches my back for me.
Wiggling and wriggling feels really nice. The grass is cooler than the air and I like it.
Stretching out my legs while rolling in the grass feels great too.
I roll around for quite a while, so in the midst of it all I sometimes just stop and rest for a second or two.
After a quick pause, it’s back to wiggling and scratching my long back in the grass.
I think I am about ready to get up. Can you see me looking at you from the grass? Boy, I feel so much better! It’s amazing what a shady patch of grass in the yard can do for a girl! I’m big on rolling around in the fall leaves too, it feels so good!

If it is mowed and is wet, it might turn me green, but I don’t like rolling in wet grass, only dry grass 🙂
Definitely stick to the shade when the temps are way too hot!
We are in the midst of they say nine days over 90, not fun. On the plus side, we are headed back to fall and winter. Summer is something we all would like to skip.

I only roll in my own yard unless I find something disgusting on a walk but Mom is usually fast enough to catch me before I can roll.
I do that too! I ask mom to let me out … then when she is looking to let me in … She sees me in the middle of the yard and I am rolling and rolling and rolling! It definitely lets me cool off!!! have a great day! your friend Lilly

What a terrific rolling technique! We all like to roll! Marv and Kozmo also like to roll in the dirt. I, Cinnamon, Like the grass, but I also like to roll in stinky things…have you guys done that?
We would love to roll in disgusting stuff, but mom usually catches us before we can do it, bummer!

It feels good and the heat does not. The grass cools and scratches at the same time.
You are absolutely right, rolling in grass is great ! It smells so good and it cools you of ! As a child I could do this now in my vintage age people would laugh their head off ! You are really lucky !

Rolling around on cool grass is a good way to combat that kind of heat. Can we roll with you? It’s hot here too.
