The table for a party of two is ready! You may remember, Madison was not able to attend my second birthday party on my birthday as she had just had her major surgery. I promised her we would celebrate when she felt better and I saved a piece of cake in the freezer for her.
Mom set up the party for us. As Madison is still a bit fragile, sitting at a table could be dangerous, so Mom made us a table. She used a big box and decorated it. It is just the right height for Madison! Of course, we still had to endure the torture of posing for a photo and not touching the cake. I was impatient as I know how yummy the cake is.
Okay, okay, Mom, the photo has been taken, when can we get going on eating cake. I checked with Madison but of course, Miss Manners, is waiting without any sense of urgency.
Mom butchered the cake rather than slicing it nicely. I don’t know what happened but it all fell apart and then to top it off, I think Madison’s piece was bigger than mine! Lesson learned – buy a pre-cut dessert, don’t let Mom near it with a knife.
And finally, we can dig into our cake. Madison is politely eating some of the frosting off her piece. I, on the other paw, am wondering the best plan of attack for my pile of crumbs.
At least with a table for two, theft isn’t as rampant as it would be in a bigger party, as I would know who stole my cake. Madison dropped some of her cake on the floor and left her plate unattended while she got the piece eaten. Being a nice little brother, and feeling sorry for what happened with her health, I decided not to steal the rest.
The birthday cake is so good, I sure wish I had saved more to eat at my second party. It is gone way too fast! How can someone eat so slowly? Madison always takes her time and savors things.
My cake, including the crumbs was gone way before Madison finished hers. Such a shame for my taste buds.
Uh oh, my plate is now on the floor. I better make sure there are no spare crumbs on the carpeting. Mom already vacuumed today.
Eventually, Madison’s plate also landed on the floor, so I decided to clean off the tablecloth. Our little party of two was fun, and the cake was a hit with both of us. Hopefully from now on, we will always be able to celebrate as a family instead of in two parties. Madison is very happy I thought of her and saved some cake for our little party.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your most wonderful mom. ♥
She has Madison wrapped in bubble wrap most of the time it seems but she says she will start to relax about her in time.
YEaH! FINALLY!!! we have been waiting to see this party happen! You are a very good little brother
Mom wanted Madison eating her usual diet and treats before she got to have some cake.
Outstanding! We love Party 2.0!!! Madison must have been grateful to you. And you must have loved having two parties!! woohoo party boy!! have a great day, your friend Chester
Two parties was great and Madison appreciated that she finally got some of my cake and a bit of celebrating with me 🙂
How wonderful to have a second party with your sister! Sometimes freezing makes pastry more fragile, but I’m sure it tastes just as good.
Mom wasn’t careful cutting the piece in half and then I got the crumbles. They were still tasty.
That was such a nice party and so sweet of you to share a piece of cake too.
No cake, no party I think 🙂 Madison loves that flavor of cake too.
That is so sweet!
We had a nice little party for two.
Aww, so nice you saved some cake for sweet Madison. You can never have too much cake, can you, Nelson?
No you can’t. She even got the bigger half and she loved it.
