There’s a new Elite Premier dog in town and her name is Olivia! We went to Linden, Michigan last Saturday for an ELT-P trial for me on Sunday. You have to have sixty points or more out of one hundred to keep your points at this level. It is only for dogs who have earned their Elite Champion Title. I needed 50.64 points to have four hundred which is a title. Luckily, I never have lost my points at any level and last weekend was no different.
Mom said it was our day. The main goal was my title, but she also said we should try to get at least one placement. Note in the photo, the school color is orange, what a coincidence! Mom and I had an absolute blast and worked like a well oiled machine together. At the end of the day I earned my Elite Premier Title, placed second in the media room search, and second place overall out of the thirty dogs competing! We were a bit shocked but super duper happy! I also had the fastest overall time of all the dogs. Had I found one more hide, we would have had first place as one dog found eighteen and we found seventeen out of twenty hides.
I worked my furry behind off, but it was fun and well worth it. We stopped on the way back to our hotel for a walk and then had dinner in our room. After dinner I crashed hard. My nose and brain were totally fried from all the hard work but what a good feeling it was. I’m thankful Mom will drive one full day each way for Team Orange to sniff for sixteen minutes. She knows I give it my all, and we both love playing this game together. We may be crazy but we only live once so why not?
