One year ago today we lost our sweet Madison, Ethos Intel Inside, to fast moving liver cancer. She is so missed every single day and I still cry every day when things that remind me of her pop up. It all happened far too fast and there was no time to really say goodbye.
She was only eight years and two months old, way to early to leave this earth. Madison was born on August 8th, 2016 and came home to live with our family on October 13th, 2016. She was exceptionally adorable from the moment I met her and she never changed. Her love of life and people was amazing. I know she made the best out of her short life and was such a happy girl.
I miss everything about her and the place she held in our pack is such a gaping hole. She especially enjoyed rolling around in the freshly mowed grass, no one else does that.
She enjoyed nose work but mainly for the social aspect of meeting new people. Barn hunt was a favorite thing for her, and she even earned her novice agility titles. People were her jam not winning, but she always had so much fun.
There was the Gladys Kravitz in her that she could not lose. Sitting in the front window, monitoring the goings on in the neighborhood was a daily activity.
Madison was the cutest cheerleader the Vikings ever had. She loved her Vikings recliner and she loved dressing up in her Vikings purple attire.
Although she was the smallest of the pack she loved winter so much. The others would wait for her to blaze trails in the fresh snow, and she did that job happily.
Even though I miss everything about her, I most miss traveling with her. She had such a love for travel. Being short she could barely see out her car window but she loved to look out. She enjoyed new places and all the road trips we took. I still forget she isn’t going with us anymore. Olivia always looks to see if she is in the back of the car when we go places. She visited thirty states in her eight years and had plans to visit many more but that was all cut short. Just the other day talking to our Navigator about an upcoming possible trip to Maine I mentioned that beaches would be dog friendly and Madison would love to take a dip. Then I realized that won’t happen.
Such a small, adorable little hound left such huge paw prints that can never be forgotten. Until we meet again my sweet girl, Madison. This was the last selfie I took with her after she earned her overall Masters Title in AKC Scent Work, with all pink ribbons. We had so much fun and both of us were so proud.
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for some Wordless Wednesday fun.

You were such a cute girl, Madison, and we miss you too. Hugs to your mom and to Bailie, Olivia and Nelson as well♥
Mom really can’t deal with it even after a year. It makes her so very sad.
hugs to you… sometimes we have more tears than words…
And a super wet keyboard!
Such a sweetheart. Such a beautiful pieces about Madison. What a wonderful dog.
We miss her so much but Mom really still has a hard time accepting that she is gone.
Lovely memories of Madison. They say time heals, but it never really does. Virtual hugs sent to you.

Some losses heal better than others. Being only eight and passing so very suddenly has been really rough.
Brought tears to my eyes. We all miss her!
You never know when time is up and Madison proved that. We had no idea what was about to happen and no time to really do anything but take her to the vet appointments and try to keep her comfortable.
Loving tribute to dear sweet Madison ~ she is missed ~ Our fur babies never stay long enough and 8 yo is much too early to end such a vibrant life ~ lots of hugs to you sweet doggies and Mom ~ memories will help somewhat ~ hugs,

If she had at least had a few months so Mom could have spent some time doing things with her but it was so fast, there was no time to do anything.
Such wonderful memories of your bright and happy girl.
Virtual hugs!
Beth
She sure is missed. There is no one with a personality like hers that we know.
EXCEPT, you forget all the years you two DID have and the special one-on-one times you had. HUGS!!
It is the memories that make it hard because we can’t do any of those things with her now that she is not her in the fur.
Joy what a beautiful post in memory of Madison. I especially like the Gladys Kravitz reference. I also love looking out the windows or sitting on the deck checking on the ‘hood goings on
Hugs to you today and always and Olivia, Bailie and Nelson

Nelson and Olivia do some window watching but it isn’t quite the same. She was truly a special girl.
Hugs to you.Beautiful tribute. Our grief, free lost, loved ones never dies it just changes and I hope you find continued peace. Thinking about what Madison accomplished in her short life.
She accomplished a lot and she was such a good hearted one, she spread cheer and happiness wherever she went.
A most beautiful tribute to a most beautiful angel. We loved her too.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups and a big hug to mom. ♥
It is still hard to believe she is really gone. She made a big difference in all of our lives.
I enjoyed the blog, I understand fully your sadness and sorrow. I am a cat mom now but I had my dog Jack. When any of our family furred members pass, it is a tragedy to us…always will be.
Death is always so very sad and hard to deal with but sudden death at an early age is something Mom is having trouble dealing with still after a year.
I’d forgotten that Madison and I shared a birthday. I do still remember though what a sweet little girl she was and how much she loved you all. And how proud she was of all the ribbons. But I think she was most proud when your Mom put her in charge of the blog…it was a big job and she had Emma’s paws to fill, but she did a great job. I feel your Mom’s pain … I will always miss my sweet and sassy Ducky.
Every dog has a special place in Mom’s heart but to be taken so young and suddenly is just too much as sadly you know too. Celebrating an overall Masters Title and ten days later passing away. It is just so very hard. Hugs to you too.
And here I thought it was just a few short weeks, or maybe a month or so, it still seems so fresh and raw. My eyes are leaky, too. Gentle hugs to all of you.
It doesn’t seem like a year at all but we do miss her every single day.
Sending hugs. Some losses just stay raw for a very, very long time.
This is one of those. Mom just can’t accept her not being her in the furs with us.
That was such a beautiful tribute to Madison. Gosh, it’s been a year already? Once a beloved furbaby works their way into our hearts, they never leave. Sending you lots of hugs from Florida.
They are all remembered but this one was a very tough loss happening so fast, from one day to the next and no time to really do anything to say good bye.
That dear girl will always be loved and will always be missed, she was special in every way possible. Hugs from all of us.
Her bright personality is something we have never seen around here before and we really miss it.
Such great memories
We are thankful for all the memories she left us but they still make us more sad than anything.
Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been a uyear already. Seems like yesterday. Sending tender thoughts of comfort as you remember your sweet precious Madison. ❤️🩹
It seems like she was just here, sure wish she was here.
