I accepted a review offer for a soft sided pet carrier for small dogs and cats. For some reason, I think of myself as small, and was pretty certain I would be able to review this super cute carrier myself. After giving it a try, I came to the conclusion that I am not a small dog and would not be able to review this product. Thankfully, cat bro Bert pounced at the opportunity to help me out with the review.
Apparently, Bert is just the right size for the stylish, soft sided carrier. He is about twelve pounds, so if any of you dogs are his size or smaller, you would fit perfectly too! According to the website, it is for pets eight pounds or less, but Bert fits fine.
The marsboy soft sided pet carrier has several nice features!
- Soft sided
- Approved for airline travel under the seat
- Outside pocket for papers or a leash
- Made of waterproof material
- Plenty of mesh siding for air circulation
- Three different handle/carrying options
- Comfortable shoulder and handle pads
- Reflector strips on the short ends
- Twelve month warranty
Both ends of the carrier have zipper openings which makes it easy for you or your pet to access.
If your pet is a trouble maker or an escape artist, be careful using the smaller opening. See how dear sweet Bert appears to be sticking his head out for some air?
Now see what he has done? He used his head to unzip the opening all the way and is escaping. Typical naughty Bert! You can leave the zipper closed, in which case, Bert was not able to escape.
Bert likes going into the carrier and has been found snoozing in it several times already. The bottom of the carrier has a hard support board to keep the carrier in form, makes your pet feel more comfortable, and is removable for cleaning.
Cat bro Bert gives the marsboy soft sided pet carrier a four paws up rating. He is excited to go to the vet in style the end of the month!

That is super cool and on my favorite color! Great job Bert!
I was bummed I didn’t fit as I love the color too!
I like the color and I bet now Bert can go to efurry place with you :o)
That is what he thinks, but I don’t want a cat tagging along with me!
That would have been perfect for me when I flew from Duluth to Orlando when I was a puppy, but alas way too small for me now. XOXO Sparkle
I was only 5 lbs when I flew from the UK to Germany under the seat and would have loved this bag at that time too!
We wouldn’t fit in that carrier either, but it sure does look nice.
There are a lot of real small dogs around who would fit, or the cat, of course!
That looks very comfy! I’ve never had to go on an airplane and I don’t think I’ll ever need to, but that’s great you don’t have to leave your pet somewhere else in the plane!
If you are small enough, most major carriers allow a certain number of pets in the cabin.
That would be Roxy sized. But ya, too small for you Emma.
Totally made for a Roxy sized dog, I really didn’t fit well at all.
OMC…We are very impressed with Bert’s escape skills!!
Smileys!

He spends most of his free time thinking of ways to get more food, and how to escape. Always a naughty boy!
This is funny, both your dog & cat like this carrier, it is cute. It looks like a very nice carrier
It’s great for a small pet, I really don’t fit at all.
MOL that photo cracked me up!! That is a tiny carrier it might even be snug for me
Hugs madi your bfff
Bert fits fine, but larger cats may find it a bit tight.
Great review and you look good in there Bert! We are fans of soft sided carriers too and that looks might nice!
I love the color of it and Bert finds it fun.
That looks like an awesome soft sided carrier! I’m glad Burt was able to help you out with your review! He’s really cute! π
He likes to think of himself as a dog, so when the opportunity arises, he is right there.
That would be perfect for Samantha! When we take her to the vet in her hard carrier, she hides all the way in the back of it, and it usually takes two people to get her out. I also like that this sounds easier to keep clean. Great demo, Bert!
It is like a shoulder bag, or a hand carry bag, lots of ventilation, and nice and soft.
cute – but definitely not Emma-sized
I am learning I am bigger than I feel, but for a cat it is a nice size.
What a good looking bag
Lily & Edward
I love the color of it too!
All of my cats are around 10 pounds so I guess it would work. Bert does seem to like it.
I think so. Bert is a fairly big cat. Sophie is much smaller, but she isn’t a fan of carriers or the camera, so she didn’t model it for us.
I love the colors and the idea of having the pocket on the side. You could add your license, credit card, etc and not have to worry about juggling your pet AND your purse!
Very good points. That purse thing always gets in the way it seems. I think it would be too small for your dogs, though, since even I don’t fit!
Like you, I’m too big for hand carriers. My ‘carrier’ lives in a garage. π Glad your bro can get some use out of it. Looks like a great product.
Your fur-iend,
Sam?
Mom said from the beginning it was going to be a Bert review, but I didn’t buy it until I tried it.
It’s ‘impawtant’ to check these things out ‘furst.’ π
That is right. I wanted to make sure it was safe for the cat.
Hey Burt guess where they’re going to take you in your pet carrier? Mom says that she finds soft sided carriers not sturdy enough on the bottom but I guess that’s because the animal weighed too much. Love Dolly
Bert actually loves to go to the vet! He always explores the entire room, helps himself to dog treats, and is nearly impossible to get back in the carrier because he wants to stay. He loves going to the vet…highlight of the year for him.
Love, love, love your photos with this review!
Thank you, but I’m not telling Bert because it will go to his head!
