Inspiration – trash is the challenge for DogwoodWeek12. This is a really wide open category, starting with a simple inspiration. Use this inspiration as creatively as you can. There are no rules so feel free to think outside of the box or rubbish bin. As we do every week, we all had some ideas to toss around before we settled on out actual photo.
The first thing that comes to mind for us this time of year is all the snow trash. Items buried and frozen under the white stuff for months is now exposed again. Our first idea for the challenge was this rusted out metal can that recently appeared from under huge snow piles. It’s trash, it tells a story, but we find it rather boring.
Bailie loves trash cans because there are so many good smells in them. Her idea was to take a photo of her with the garbage can along a walking trail. Mom says it is technically not trash, but the place to put trash, so this idea is out the window.
Finally higher powers provided us with the answer, a plastic bottle. This thing ended up in our yard, and I love how it makes crinkle noises. I was dashing around with it, having a blast, but Mom says this photo is too much about me. The water bottle is hardly even noticeable.
The photo we are choosing for the challenge this week is me holding the trash, aka bottle. The bottle is front and center, and even the condensation inside is visible. We are captioning it, “One man’s trash is a hounds treasure.” What do you think of our photos, did we meet the challenge?
We’re joining Comedy Plus for the Awww Mondays blog hop.
That bottle looks like a pretty fun find, ya done good!
It makes great crinkle noises.
You are a good environmentalist.
We sometimes play with stuff like this and when we are done, Mom recycles it in the bin.
glad you picked a bottle … imagine you had to sit in that can like this Oscar guy from Sesame Street LOL
Bailie might actually like that as she eats almost anything, but she is not grouchy like that Oscar dude.
Mission accomplished! What could be more fun for a dog than a toy that makes crinkle-y noises?!
Trash becomes a toy, at least for a while.
Perfect idea! I think it tells a story and is super cute all together.
She is not only picking up trash, she is using it for a while too.
Great story with a fun new toy! Don’t you love the way it crinkles? Super cute pictures, but Madison, your furs sure do get nasty! Keep the bath water ready. XOXO, Sparkle
Mom says I have to get the shampoo bath later this week since I’m doing some sports and I should look nice. Ugh!
Well I am awarding you an A+++ fur your photos! I especially luffs the bottle carrying one
Loves and licky kisses

Nothing like a good toy for free!
Awww, you sure did meet the challenge. Our Little Bit loved to play with plastic water bottles. They made such delightful noises when she would chew on them.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday. My best to your peeps. β₯
That noise is quite attractive to us doggies.
You did great with your topic this week – amazing pictures – hooray for you!
Thank you. Sometimes an idea that is perfect just lands right at your paws.
Your mom did indeed meet the challenge is spades!!! I dig it!
Thank you.
You totally met the challenge this week Madison!! Love the way you are almost showing off your new treasure!
xoxo,
Rosy
Bailie and I are always proud when we find some good trash!
Bentley used to love chewing and playing with plastic bottles. They do make the best crinkly noises.
They are perfect for making fun noise, but Bailie usually ruins them really fast.
Great job, girls! I love the way water bottles crinkle!
Isn’t it the best!
Yes, you did, and the caption is perfect too! Great job!!
Thank you. I was glad the idea just appeared.
An excellent solution!
Thank you. Sometimes trash can be a good thing.

Thank you.
Nice job-love the tin can image but there’s nothing better than playing with an empty plastic bottle when you’re a dog.
Since we are bloggers and dogs are our favorite subject, we try to get ourselves into as many of the challenges as we can. Kind of a double challenge, actually.
Great photos for this challenge.
Thank you.
