It’s a take down, just like in the wild with lions and antelope! Olivia even lets out her hunting call sometimes. Of course, the chase is the first step in the process. Olivia is hot on my tail. Since she is taller, she has more speed these days!
Next comes the real problem for me, she catches me. I know she is harmless, but if it was in the wild, it would be the beginning of the end for me. Olivia gets her fangs ready, and in the meantime, knocks me off balance.
We both come to a snow flying halt. Now this giant puppy has me firmly in her grip. At this point, there is not much I can do. Good thing she is not my enemy!
Now that she has me, I think she is going to try to squish me with her giant puppy body! Can you see by my face, that I have given up all hope of winning this battle?
The take down is sealed. I’m officially Olivia’s prize. She is starting to grab me by my handles, aka long ears. Good thing we are such good buddies and I know it is all just for fun. One thing is for sure – I don’t ever want to be an antelope being chased by a lion!

Olivia is having the time of her life and we’re so happy that you’re bestest buddies!
I have a lot of fun too, and sometimes I am able to tackle the giant.
Olivia loves you – she is chasing you to hug! I (Zachary) chase Mia all the time and let her think she is too fast for me so I don’t catch her.
I am pretty fast for being so short, but Olivia is faster than me these days since she has those long legs, but she is still a bit clumsy.

Olivia uses her paws for stuff all the time, snowshoes, stealing off the kitchen counter, hugging me, and so on.
Phew, what a relief it was just play!
All for fun, or Mom wouldn’t let us be together.

Sometimes it gets to be too much and I let her know with a quick high pitched bark, combined with some non-harmful biting.
On last night’s news I here somewhere in your beautiful state had a high of 3 degrees……makes me shiver when I type it.
Thank goodness you two and run around to keep warm. Olivia wonder just how much more you will grow…no matter just more of you to love. Hugs to you Mom and the sibs

Olivia has been holding pretty steady on size the past month or two, so we hope that keeps up. Yesterday our morning walks were at -10 Fahrenheit, and the high temp was 5 for the day. It isn’t bad if there isn’t wind, but the wind makes it super cold.
Maybe you can teach Olivia to take turns and sometimes you chase her.
Sometimes I do chase her, but most of the time, she is after me.
Wow…Olivia sure is a great “hunter”! We can’t believe how fast she’s grown up!
