Felines! What is a canine sister to do? I can’t figure them out at all. It seems I can’t live with them or without them. One moment Bert is my buddy, the next he is punching me.
All I was doing was visiting him in his cuddle cube, trying to be friendly. Is there anything wrong with that?
Next thing I know he is taking aim at my nose with claws fully extended! Sheesh…not very nice at all I say!
Sometimes he likes me to cuddle with him. Remember not long ago, he was rubbing his head all over mine? Sometimes he likes me, I’m sure of it.
He loves to sleep in our dog bed, so I casually put my paw around him to cuddle a bit. I don’t think he was real thrilled about it.
Obviously, he was getting upset with me trying to hang out on the dog bed. I don’t think he understands dog stuff is for dogs.
Next thing I know, he is getting mean, pushing me away with fully extended claws! That’s it, I’m out of here!
This is why felines think they always win! He is sitting in my spot, and I am relegated to the floor. Life is not always fair between dogs and cats!
I am joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop held by Comedy Plus.
Typical sisters!
Well, cat bro Bert is a boy in a house full of girls. Maybe that is why he is so difficult?
Cats are just mysterious
And troublesome, I think.
Bert sure looks like he has some pretty sharp claws so you’re very wise to be on alert!
He gets them trimmed regularly, but he is strong. Sophie has really sharp claws despite getting them clipped every two weeks. She doesn’t do much scratching post stuff.
I hope everyone there is okay. I kinda got lost keeping up with blog buds while scurrying around to create space in our tiny home for DH’s make-shift office, then we had to find him a printer because ours won’t produce 11×17 prints. I think I can calm down a bit now. We’re healthy, so that’s a bonus always. I find that those you love sometimes I feel like you do about cats. You can’t live with them nor can you live without them. π Stay safe and sound, my furriends. Sending love, hugs, and prayers to y’all!!
You stay safe too. For those that worked outside the home, it is a major thing to suddenly need to work from home. Luckily, Mom’s been doing it for so many years, it is no change for us.
Awwww too adorable! Want to apologize for not being around much (which will probably continue). While reading blogs/blogging is a great escape for some, some days for me, not so much. Like EVERYONE I am cleaning, cleaning, cleaning………and so preoccupied. Some days I just want to be TOTALLY away from everything online. Hoping you all understand, doesn’t mean we don’t love you! (it’s also the reason I am barely blogging)….doesn’t bring me much comfort at all! Sending lots of love and stay healthy!
We are not watching the news or reading about stuff because all it does is create panic. Our blog, as you know, is usually a place for smiles and laughter. We plan on continuing that since it was how Emma intended it to be. Stay safe. PS: if your place is spotless, feel free to visit us and clean. Mom hasn’t had time to do that yet.
He looks cute, but I still do not know what a cat is! I have never met one. XOXO, Sparkle
You are lucky! They are very difficult to figure out, let alone live with.
they were gods once and we think they still are gods ;O)))
Hmmm…I would have thought they were devils???
Cats seem to rule don’t they. You have claws too, but you don’t use them the same. Cats do what they want. Period.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Sophie leaves us alone, always, but Bert is always into our stuff, wants to hang out with us, but then beats us up. The guy is nuts!
what absolutely sweet photos! Have a lovely day!
Thank you. I’m wondering if I will ever really understand cats?
Not knowing cats at all, I’m guessing that Bert just wants his space at times.
But, his space is really our dog space. If we try to get into his cat spaces, we get beaten in the face with his paws and claws. Cats!
I think Bert is reminding you about social distancing!
LOL! He must have known it was a thing long before anyone else because I hear he has been like this for years.
Sheesh..Bert sure is fickle!!

Be happy you don’t have to live with felines. They are impossible to understand!
We are having trouble living with humans! We would let them use our beds, but they won’t let us sit in their recliners. We would let them taste our food, but they get mad when we get into the kitchen and try to help them cook the yummy stuff that humans eat when they don’t have to work. NOT FAIR!!!
Probably an even worse situation now that everyone is stuck at home for who knows how long!
Hehe cats only on their terms.
We’re not real keen on the cat’s terms around here.
Itβs easy enough from their point of view. They like you when you behave the way they want!
That pretty much sums it up!
Cats can be very moody, and sometimes difficult! Our cat Conrad used to take joy in blocking the stairs so the dogs couldn’t go up and down! I think it’s those claws that put the fear in them.
Those claws are sharp and that Bert is strong!
Just let Bert know he rules, and all will be well – MOL!
Oh my, never! Cats cannot have the upper paw!
Have you ever noticed that they have zero bones? If humans pick them up, they just kind of melt. If you bark at them, they double in size like a puffer fish or something. They’re different that’s for sure.
They are a very tough species. Not sure what their usefulness really is.
Felines sure are unpredictable. And it’s so unfair that Bert kicked you off your own bed! You need to give him a serious talking-to!
He is very pushy with our stuff, and fights us on it all the time.
