Today we have some family fun, with a little something from everyone in the family. Cats, dogs, inside, outside, a hodge podge of our week.
Let’s start with cat bro Bert. We have temps below freezing finally. Mom says it is the right weather to get Bert’s winter den out of storage. It didn’t take him long to remember how cozy it is, and he is enjoying it. The camera bothers him which is why he is trying to leave to find a more peaceful and private place to nap.
Olivia and Bailie do a lot of things together. Mom says they have similar personalities. One thing Bailie has never done is hang out on the window bench. The most she does is to put her front paws up on it. Crime in the neighborhood is down with their neighborhood watch, we are sure of it!
Sticks have been Olivia’s thing since she was little. The cooler temperatures motivate us all and we are full of energy to romp and race around the yard. For Olivia, it’s always more fun with a stick. Don’t let her shiny chompers blind you.
Showing off is another thing Olivia enjoys. Look out! Coming through!
This time of the year our backyard is quite shady, but in the back section, there is sunshine. It sometimes feels good to play in the sun.
Sophie is still in her cat bed in the back room. She spends a lot of time there as you can see by all the fur! Family, even family fun is not really her thing. That cat is a loaner type.
I’m enjoying the wind and the leaves every day this week. I roll around and around and around but still want to roll more. The leaves really do a great job of scratching my long back!
Cat bro Bert is still into stealing our beds. Mom moves him out of Bailie’s bed because Bailie is too polite to chase him out herself. He is just as comfy in my furry bed and Bailie is fine with him sleeping next to her in the other bed too. The cold and wind has made for some really good napping this week.
Ahhh, time for a nice stretch to get ready for the weekend. I know Olivia has sniffing plans, but I’m not sure what else if anything Mom has planned for us. Happy Friday!
We are joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop held by Comedy Plus and our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Nice to see Sophie. Some cats prefer their own company. Bert obviously doesn’t as he likes to share the beds. Olivia is enjoying her stick, and you are enjoying your rolling.
Bert really wants to be a dog, that is his problem. Sophie is a loaner and we dogs all like having playmates around and cats to chase on occasion.
we love the den of your cat bro… maybe that den is available in dog sizes too? it would be a great cave for us
Our wicker kennel is like a den for dogs with a comfy pillow to lay on.
I think Sophie is so regother. al and pretty. Bert just wants to hang out and annoy like any good brother. You look just like Puffin and I as we spend a lot of time on our bench at the front window. I am the queen of Neighborhood Watch! XOXO Sparkle
Mrs. Kravitz is alive and well all over the country! We all take turns keeping watch but if something questionable is going on we call for help and two or three of us check it out.
WOW, those were not only beautiful photos but lots of fun too!
Thank you. Just a collection from our week here at home. Nothing too exciting going on.
Bailie and Oliva
OMDs and OMCs Madison,
what a fun family post. I love your neighborhood watching window. If I lived with you, I’d be sitting there all the time. I’m a people watcher. Boss Man Bert you da man. Sophie you are a beautiful gray lady.
Hugs Cecilia
Mom loves Sophie and Mom is about the only being Sophie has any interest in. Bert is just trouble, all day, every day. The front window has been the most coveted spot in the house since Mom moved in fourteen years ago. Katie and Emma took to it immediately.
If I didn’t know better, I’d say that Olivia and Bogie are related. This boy LOVES sticks! It doesn’t matter if they’re big, small, or somewhere in between! I have to check his mouth constantly to be sure he doesn’t bring them in the house!
Olivia never brings them in the house, but she loves to find them and romp around the yard with them. We are not allowed to play with them on walks because it turns into a wrestling match on leash and Mom says it is not fun for her.
You know how I enjoy the adventures with your precious pups, but it’s wonderful to see your kitties. They are most adorable.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Thank you. Sophie is a beautiful hermit and Bert is just trouble, but everyone loves him for some reason.
Can we come live with you. You look like you are always having so much fun.
We do have a lot of fun. Mom likes to do stuff with us when she can and when work is slow there is more time for fun.
OMC do you believe I completely forgot you have Sophie??? She must be a loner for sure because we never see her! Roary isn’t a huge fan of the camera either that’s for sure! Love these joyful photos!
Great pictures, We love your front window where you can see all that is going on in the neighborhood!!
It is the favorite room and window in the house.
That’s a great selection of family pictures for ‘not much going on’ week! Cat bro Bert’s winter quarters do look cosy
We are often out and about, but this weeks we were mainly here at home.
Leaf tumbles, cozy beds, racing around – all signs of Fall – or Autumn as my mom likes to say because “fall” is a bad word in our house – especially if it is Mom doing it.
Chablis
Fall as a verb is not a good thing, but as a noun it is a lot of fun.
How lovely to spend a week together just doing everyday family things … and how lovely you have shared it with us!
We seem to be in the quiet phase right now, so we are not out and about very much.
What a nice family round up! It’s always nice to see what everyone is up to!!
xoxo,
Rosy and the Gang
It is kind of a boring time of year, so not much going on and no travel at the moment but we still have fun at home.
It is nice to see your cat siblings Sophie and Burt! And it is exciting to see what you guys do at home! You have a really terrific yard to do exciting and fun things in and to watch the burd and squirrel TV! Thanks for sharing with us! We hope you ALL have a marvellosuly happy week.
We are seeing more and more squirrels which is so very exciting! Hopefully we will capture one soon. We are working hard on it.
rolling in the leaves looks like fun! Great photos. Have a great weekend!
My sisters just run through them. I’m the only one who loves get down and roll around in them.
Nice to see your two cats all comfy in their beds—ooops someone is in the wrong bed! Have a fun day!
That cat bro Bert is always doing things he shouldn’t, but we keep trying to teach him what is ours is not his.
The cooler temps gives us so much more energy to have all kinds of fun outside and you girls sure know how to have fun! Bert looks so cute sticking his head out of his den.
It’s lovely to see all of you!
We don’t often all show up in a post, that’s for sure.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend as you get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving.
We are looking forward to the long weekend coming up.
