Spring has arrived here in Minnesota, finally. It has been a lot of cold, wet, and gray weather but the sun is now shining! Mom has been able to get the plants we need to brighten things up and the house is looking good. We had a huge storm Wednesday night with a lot of hail and it chipped our rain measuring tube which is sad, but we can still use it. This watering can always sits on the table and measures rain for us.
As Mom does every year, we put out our three bigger pots on our deck. These poor plants took a real beating in the storm too. Not only did we have a lot of hail but we had about two inches of rain in a short time, and up to 70 mph winds. I think the flowers will bounce back now that they have some warm sunshine to grow under. I bet next time I take a photo with these flowers, they will be huge!
We always love the geraniums on the front porch. They are somewhat sheltered, so they didn’t take a beating like the other flowers did. Now that spring has arrived, finally, we are all in better spirits and the whole world is looking much better! Next up, will be mowing the lawn as it is now starting to grow.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Look at you in all of your outfit changes, Madison! Your flowers are so pretty and we love the cute yellow watering can!
Thank you. It is nice to finally be able to put out some flowers.
that’s wonderful… we love the sun and the better weather…
Just don’t like the heat.
They say that April showers bring May flowers! True except for those unexpected May storms, and Florida weather. We are very dry and need rain. XOXO Sparkle
We went from a drought to drowning up here.
We love your hats and glasses! Looking good! We hope that storm wasn’t too noisy for you all — we hate the noisy storms. Here’s to spring flowers!!! hooray! your friends Lilly and Chester
It was very loud and so much lightning it was like daytime. Thankfully, no real damage at our house.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love those shades. I know all of you are tickled to see your world turning beautiful spring colors
Hugs Cecilia
The ugly brown and gray for six weeks or so was depressing. Now happiness is busting out.
Madison, YOU are a fashionista! and a quick-change artist! Love it!!!
I like variety.
You look quite pretty and seasonal and your flowers look terrific too. Mowing the lawn, yikes!
We will probably hire the mowing out again this year so Mom has more time to do other things.
Happy spring. Iβm sue the flowers will bounce back in no time!
They already look better. Sunshine heals lots of things.
Oh what a relief it must be to finally see some colourful flowers in bloom after the long dark winter months. And you guys are all dressed up so brightly too.
Happy Nature Friday!
Thank you. We love winter, but spring was really depressing this year.
you’re brave! It’s warm here in Michigan but I still will not put out live plants until Memorial Day weekend. It can still get plenty cold (while it looks unlikely that will happen this year, it HAS happened more often than not). I’m holding off a couple weeks π
Our rule is the 15th of May but sometimes we put them out earlier if the forecast looks good. We can always cover them or put them in the garage if needed.
I know you all love romping in the snow, but spring is nice too and mom has some very pretty flowers to go with such good looking pups.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
We do love winter, but the colors of spring are super pretty.
Oh so adorable ~ you are quite the model for Spring hats ~ Xo ~ sweet photos !
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

What a variety of hats you have! Lovely flowers to start the Spring with.
We have a ton of fun hats and I love to wear them.
Hooray for flowers and spring!
Spring is really here but it sure is late this year.
We are so happy Spring has finally arrived in Minnesnowda!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Sunny
We love winter but we dislike the gray, wet, cold spring and it was way too long this year. Now we are enjoying the explosion of color all around.
